me too only i questioned the validity and the broad asked me.."do you want the money or not??" kind of stern like and i calmly and gently said " i dont think so" and then she said exactly as follows "then why you waste my time you (promouncedly) f****ng a** hole and then hung up on me. sounded like an oriental woman to me and then got a call from 202-666-5009 and i said i sure wish i could understand you better and it went on for a couple minutes and i said i didnt understand that last sentence spoken and the non american bi*** hung up on me this time also. what the HELL is going on here?????????????????

I also get calls from this number before and they sent me 3500 today is it good thing

My brother (who is disabled and on Social Security) got a call from these jokers saying that he hasn't filed his taxes for several years and threatening to garnish his wages and take his bank account.  My brother freaked out a little.  I tried the number and got the "all circuits are busy" message.

Keep calling to ask for bank and personal information.

I am getting sick and tired of these c**** jockeys calling several times a day - They Can Just Ride Back Out On The Camel They Rode In On! "from the government" my a***!

I inadvertently answered this call, glancing at the number thinking it was a different area code.
I can't understand the guy to begin with, then he mumbles something and I said pretty directly to him, I am busy, take me off the calling list and he responded in a very clear voice "F*ck YOU!" The best part was he hung up.

So we are reporting this, who, what and how does one get rid of this scum?

They call, I answer, I tell them they have the wrong number, and they call back within 20 minutes. They hang up on me without apology when I say they have the wrong number (they are asking for a name I don't recognize).  I wish I could get these people to stop calling :(

I just got a call from my business phone.  It interrupted a business call.

They have called me 4 times, I answered once, they ask for a person and I told them he doesn't live here, but I'm still getting calls. How do I report them, or get them to stop?

keep getting this call on my cell every hour on the hour. Finally answered, they hung up. They called again and I answered "hello" .. long pause.. asked " who is this" woman with accent said "this is maria" and hung up.

Got a call from 202-666-3431 asking for my daughter.  I could barely hear the woman, she had a heavy accent, too much background noise.  She said there was 8,000 and ??? in grant money.  She said something about being selected because of income tax.  My daughter is only 17, goes to school and doesn't have a job yet.  These people are nuts.  I kept telling her I couldn't understand her and there was too much background noise.  She hung up on me.  I tried calling the number back and it said all lines are busy.  What a scam.  I ignored the first call ...it came in as District of Columbia.  I finally answered the second call, same thing, DC.  She acted like I was crazy because I couldn't hear her for the background noise.

I got the same thing. A man with a heavy accent told me I was getting a grant for doing something with my taxes. I had a difficult time understanding him because, besides trying to understand his accent, he also appeared to be in a room with many other people who were talking loudly. I was so curious to know why this number kept popping up on my phone so I went along and answered his questions as best I could. Finally, I just came out and asked, "What do I have to do to get this money?" He then hung up. I thought that would be the end of it, but I got another call from the same number! Ugh!

I told the caller I would report him to the National Do not call list as i was on it. he told me if I reported him he would come to my house and "f@#$&*(^" kill me! Then he read me my home address.

This number calls me three or four times a day. Every time I answet , who ever it is just hangs up. Its more than annoying!!!!

Stop calls like this because they say hello and they don't say anything else and they call everyday

I like to warn people about calls from the same area code and this # is one of them . They have heavy accent and tell you about some grants money they are about to send , ask for routing # to your bank and this is going on for last 5 days . Every day several times . Just looked on my phone to see the other numbers to post them and WOW - my phone has a record of all calls and those are no longer there . What a mystery - after I called them scammers the last time they called . How they were able to earase those # of my record ? I don't know . It is very strange and I will have to investigate this closer . In the mean time - be careful . Later everybody .

I am sick of these Dumb scammers who keep calling my phone.  I wish they would realize that I will eventually become a racist against Arabs and commit acts of violence against them if they do not stop harassing me with their idiotic calls.

This and two other numbers wont stop calling. 7866647971, 9043714805 and 2134441234 are all spamming me with this stupid scam. I get 2-3 calls a day at random hours (even during the night). This needs to be stopped.

They are frauds and its not officient at all

Look at the numbers sign three 6's is not a good number and how they know your name. Tell who every they have the wrong number. They'll ask you again hang up...

They are still at it - giving away free money, all you have to do is give them everything they need to access your bank account.  - I doubt I would think it was very free by the time they were done with me.

These people need locked up. What was the point in the do not call list.? If the gov is only going to tax the f*** out out us and still not do their jobs then why not get rid of these people?

These people are calling from a call center in India via tie-line to 202-666-3431.   They also use 202-292=6660 and incessantly call on both numbers, same scam - U.S. Government grant, give us your SSN and a credit card (so they can steal your identity and charge to your card), etc.  This is another indication that everyone must please contact their elected reps in DC to demand strengthened Do Not Call laws, prohibit any type of telemarketing, soliciting or surveys, whether political, charitable, causes or under the guise of anything else (over 90% of funds donated over the phone will go into the pockets of the organizers, and you risk $100s or $thousands of fraudulent charges on your credit card for a $10 donation), prohibit the use of any telephone number not issued by a licensed common carrier (telephone company), or any use of computer-generated or tie-line numbers, with violations carrying severe criminal penalties (fines and imprisonment).  prohibit any calling where the legal name of the caller is not shown on standard Caller Id, no calling before 9 AM or after 7 PM local.  The situation with nuisance, scam callers is totally out of control.  While away for ten days, we received over 30 nuisance, scam calls for 15 different callers!  This particular number called multiple times.  We need call control, not gun control!

They called asking for account info to deposit money I won from a grant.

I received a call similar to all the other posts, but mine takes a scary turn, when I refused to give my bank account information and rather stated they could mail me the check he asked me if I wanted it deposited into my p*ss* (slang for female genitalia)... It was very disturbing to say the absolute least as he didn't stop after saying it once he continued to say it multiple times. Because of his heavy accent I actually had to ask him twice what he said and once I verified what I thought I had heard, I told him I did not want to speak with him or anyone else from his company and that I was going to call the police. I blocked the number through my carrier (Verizon) and plan on filing a police report.

I have not actually answered the telephone when they call because I don't know who it is. I figure if it's genuinely important they will leave a message for me.
I DO  know of course there are plenty of scams being ran like this. I think it's rediculous and can't believe anyone would fall for it.
I just want them to stop calling me. It's been going on for weeks now three and four times a day and is becoming increasingly irritating. They need to be stopped.

Same scam here.  Offered me $8400 in government grant money, verified my name and address and said I could get it deposited to my bank account or bank card. I declined, but I do wish I knew who to report the scam to.  If anybody knows, please email me at beemerr90s@juno.com.

This telephone number 202-666-3431 has been sending telephone calls to my mobile phone at least 5 times a day to 20 times per week.  It needs to stop!
