I got an idea.   This website could sell a list of number with a large number of complaints to the phone companies for blocking.  They could even sell this feature for a $1 a month.  Multiply that by the huge number of people annoyed by telemarketers, and there is a some serious money to be made.

And it is "doing the right thing" also.  Make money, do the right thing.  A great combo.

i got this call too

Has been calling me for at least a month. Never answer. But I have gotten calls from other numbers that r supposedly from the DC area and from what I understand they r all the same scam. They need to b reported n caught!

I got a call yesterday and asked them not to call me again so later they did I them told them to f off and never call again. Today 2 minutes ago they called again asked for me and started his bull speech. Told him to take my name of his list not to call again heard a lady in back day something and he got mad at me and started to tell me to f off already 6 Times. I told him I'm trying to be polite about it and 3 Times and he finally said ok I'll stop calling you don't no if it will work but we will see if not I guess we will have to hack them and destroy all thier data because they are obviously using a pc of some sort.  And they are middle eastern there is at least 3 of them two men one woman I hope they are monitoring this site so they no at some point they are going to get theirs if you can record them next time they call play store might have something for that I will find out

I get emails from these people too.   Never answer my cell phone unless I recognize the number and these people do not leave a message, as expected, as none of them do.  By the time "do not call" goes after them, they'll probably have already changed to a different phone number.  Nigeria used to be a real hub for these types of calls. Nowadays, could be from anywhere.

A women by the name of Zenny employee number JK404 called some Federal Government Verification department, with a thick accent wanting to give me $8400.00 because I pay my taxes on time and have not had a bankruptcy. This is honorably, this woman needs to be stopped arrested for fraud and the key thrown away. Sad people get away with this and take advantage others.

I just received a call from this number, and they said the same thing about the money, wanting my debit card information. When I refused to give them this information, the lady, Middle-Eastern by the sounds of her accent, tried giving me a big list of options. During this, I "dropped" the call.  These people need to be stopped before someone falls for it and gets into some serious trouble.

Yea, I just got a call from this number. Told me the same thing they have been telling everyone. I was just shock. After they asked for my bank number, I just felt uneasy. I asked them to mail the check and the lady one the phone said she couldn't, made me fill even more uneasy. so I said call back, she asked for my age and if I was working part-time or full time. I'm glad I google their number.

This above 202-666-5870 called me this morning, male voice = Andy or Sandy, heavy accent, said he was with FBI. I interrupted him and said I had checked his number out on-line and found they were a fraud or scam.  DON'T CALL ANYMORE & I hung up.

This number has been calling me for weeks.  If I answer I can hear a voice asking me my name and then they hang up.  I have no idea who it is.  If I call the number back,"all circuits are busy" and try again later.   I have been scammed lately.  There are many things to watch out for these days, especially if you are POOR like me.

Received a call from this number saying she was with the US Treasure Dept. and that I was to be awarded a grant that I could use for anything. I had already heard of scams like this, so I knew that all she was trying to do was to get my credit card or account information. First of all, the US government would never ask for your personal credit info over the phone. Secondly, any type of grant has to be applied for. I asked her how many people she's scammed today and that's when she said goodbye.

Like FED UP in MN, I have been getting calls from this number every week. I do not answer the calls, and they do not leave a message. But today, while waiting for a REAL call I answered without looking at the number on the screen. A man with a heavy accent kept asking for a name I could not understand. Just like all the others on this posting, it sounded like the call came from a call center as there was a LOT of noise in the background. I told him not to call this number again as I am also on the Do Not Call Registry. These criminals are tying up my line! HOW did they even get my cell number?! I am actually someone who rarely is even on my phone, especially in public! Can this scam be stopped?!

I got a call from this number too. I just wanted to play along with their little game because i knew from the get go that it was a scam, so i wanted to see how far this guy would go. His name is Steve Johnson 'from the us treasury department". I have a prepaid card that my old work used to use to pay me, but i no longer work there, but i hadn't pulled all the money off of it yet, so i told him to call me back in two days. I then pulled all my money out of that account and waited for him to call me back. He did. Exactly two days later. I gave him the card info and then he gave me some confirmation number that I was supposed to use to get my 8400 dollars. He said I was supposed to call Richard Lee at 2024704008 and that I was supposed to tell him the confirmation number which is RJ186. So I did all that, and Richard told me that there is a processing fee for me to get my grant. I was supposed to go to walmart or walgreens or wherever and get another prepaid card and put 250 dollars on it and give it to the guy. I would then receive my grant money of 8400 dollars within 40 to 45 minutes of doing all that. Once he asked me for actual money I had to draw the line so i told him i wasn't going to do that. If he wanted me to send him money i said he could just deduct it from the grant that he was going to send me. He told me that if I don't want to do it, he's not there to convince me to do it. So i said no, and he told me that that's fine and that he would cancel my file... well, that was yesterday. Today this morning i got a call back from Steve saying I need to call Richard back and I was like, no, I already told him to cancel my file and I'm not calling him back and I told Steve to cancel my file and to stop calling me. He couldn't understand me because I speak english and he must have been from india or somewhere nearby there, so it took a while for him to get what i was saying. We'll see if he listened though...

Not to be rude, but these are probably some of the better paying jobs that they could get. I understand the frustration, as I keep getting calls from this and other numbers with many of the same issues. Instead of cursing I found it better to just say I am not interested, then ask some question I know they would not be able to answer and wait for them to hang up. Once I acted like a cat on the phone and the woman did a good job at keeping her composure. Needless to say I was fairly impressed. With that said yelling and throwing a fit is no way to conduct yourself, just be polite and deny. When all else fails just block the number.

I don't know the name of the company calling me this is a new number on my cell so I didn't know who the person was or who they was looking for', they have an accent, sounded like a foreign country muslim voice, I have my cell and house number on the DONOTCALLLIST, for about a month now, 817 8977522 is my cell number. when I call them back to see who they are I get a ALL CIRCUITS ARE BUSY. please stop them if u can.

Same thing happened to me today he got me really excited and I gave him my info to a visa gift card and once he asked for my hometown info I hung up then he called back and I finally told him it was a scam and hung he has not called me back after that....stupid jerk I'll have to do the same and get a new card it only had 20¢ in it anyway. Haha

A heavy middle eastern accented female has been calling me all day. Telling me I have a grant from the US Treasury. She wanted my bank account number and address. I believe it's a scam. Please!!!! Stop these people before they scam the elderly and disabled people.

Said my name was picked out of a survey and wanted to give me 8400.00 that I didn't have to later back but wanted my credit card number or my bank number. I don't think this is legit.

This number calls almost everyday. I am on the do not call list. When I called number it says it is busy.

This is definitely a scam!!  Phillipino sounding--I could barely understand what she was saying--telling me I had been approved for exactly the same thing Hazel below said. When I told her I couldn't understand her and asked if I could call back she said "Yeahhhh" and hung up.

I have received calls from this number as well as (202)000-1234 for about a year now. Always an accent, always from the fictitious US Grants Department. I have told them many times that I know they are a scam and to please stop calling. Usually they just hang up, sometimes they say "F**k You" before hanging up. I started having fun with them. Most recently, when they asked what I planned to do with the $8400, I told the lady that since I have never been with a prostitute, that I will blow all of the money on that. She said I could not use the money for that. So I told her that I would just get the cash since it is a debit card, and use it all on heroin. She didn't like that either. Said "F**k You" and hung up. I actually can't wait for the next time they call--I have a GREAT IDEA for the next one!
