I get this call twice a day, two to three days a week. No one ever answers when I pick up, and they leave a scam message. I wonder if I can bug a prosecutor in the 202 area code.

    Is it any good ?? I like to have some money for my grandchildren to college  I have no cash.

Legitimate grant institutions don't solicite.

Got a call and left a message about a gov. grant.  Returned the call to tell them not to call again and that this cell phone is registered with the national do not call list.  Got a recording directing me to visit this website RequestAGrant.com  The Cash Grant Institute is an international joint venture of a group of (NPO) Not for Profit Organizations, (NGO) Non Government Organizations, (PF) Private Foundations as well as (AWI) Anonymous Wealthy Individuals.

So this is probably a SCAM.

I have gotten 2 calls from this number and I want them to stop.

Called and yelled in the phone to stop calling me.

I returned the call and it was answered by an automated message..stating "that I had reached U S Grants Dept, Washington DC" and all the lines were busy. If I'd like to hold..blah blah blah..

free 25000 bucks, never have to pay back!

This morning--at 7:06--I received a phone call (I didn't answer the phone; It was too darned early!)with a recorded message that said government grant money was available to people like me who are strapped for funds to pay bills (hmmmm?); I could qualify for up to $25,000.  All I had to do was call 202-683-1404--not even a toll-free number--or logon to requestagrant.com.  If this were a legitimate website, the extension would be "gov."  I didn't bite!

i got this call on and off, and yes they left me a message about government grant for free.
anyone know if can put legal actions on all these companies that make calls like this?

Me too! I have gotten more calls since I put my number on the list. It sucks! I get them like several times a week from all different kinds of things and it's just really annoying.  I knew this one was a scam, I've had one of these before a few years ago. I actually answered it and got to a person though and he said I had won $5,000 grant and all I needed to do was give him my bank account number! HAH! I'm not that dumb. It sucks because I am a college student and need money so these people are just teasing me it feels like. =[

Do like I do, answer the call, become loud and rude, inform them you are on the do not call list, tell them if they call again you will report them to the FCC. Not sure which part they hate most but they stop calling.

Just got another call from these morons claiming I can get a free cash grant. I called the number back and left a message, gave my name and phone number, told them to take me off their call list as I am on the "do not call list"

what is the point of do not call? I get more calls from scam artist and credit repair people than before I registered my number.

i just received this call to my personal cell phone, now i am not sure  if there where any sudden changes to the laws but i do not think your allowed to do solicitations to cell phones?

I have received 2 calls from this number. One on 9/15/08 at 3:17 PM and another one today 9/25/08 at 3:18 PM. This is an interruption to my daily tasks. I am on the watch for an important call from my family and this is getting on my nerves.

OFFERED ME GRANT MONEY THAT I WILL NEVER HAVE TO PAY BACK, FROM WASHINGTON, DC OR FROM LOCAL FOUNDATIONS.
I KNOW IT'S A SCAM I WATCH THE NEWS ALSO AND I KNOW, THE PEOPLE IN WASHINGTON WILL SOON NEED THE PENNIES IN MY PIGGY BANK IF THINGS DON'T CHANGE SOON. AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT AGENCYS ARE CLOSING OR ALREADY BROKE.
THESE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO GET IN PEOPLES HEADS AND GIVE FALSE HOPE TO SOME STRUGGLING COLLEGE STUDENT. OR A PERSON THAT IS WONDERING WHERE THEY ARE GOING TO GET THE NEXT MEAL TO FEED THEIR FAMILY.

I am sick and tired of getting these calls!  If I don't answer they leave a recorded stupid message on my voice mail wasting and burning up my cell phone minutes, if I answer no one says anything and hangs up.
