Another call from Republican proxies, but the election is over. Sounds like somebody thinks they can stick this in the bill and Big Dumb Money won't notice.

Impeach Obama Robocall Campaign Launched By Conservative Group

WASHINGTON -- The movement to impeach President Barack Obama has been launched, just days after he won a second term in the White House.

The Conservative Majority Fund, a conservative group known primarily for its birther conspiracy spreading, has launched a robocall campaign to gin up support for the president's impeachment.

The call, emailed to The Huffington Post by Shaun Dakin of StopPoliticalCalls.org, reads in part as follows:

Our only recourse now is to move forward with the full impeachment of President Obama. We suspect that Obama is guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors and that there may be grounds for impeachment as is laid out in the constitution. Further, he may not even be a U.S. citizen because nobody, I mean no one, has seen an actual physical copy of his birth certificate. Impeachment is our only option. And Republicans are already considering Obama investigations. As the nation's most effective conservative group we are launching the official impeach Obama campaign.

Conservative Majority Fund is on the fringe of the conservative fringe. And their outlandish drives are often done with an eye towards exploiting people's dark political fears as a way to raise money. So it's not terribly surprising that they moved this quickly to start the drumbeats for the president's impeachment.

Among the "misdemeanors" they cite are the president's proposals to close the detention center at Guantanamo Bay -- an idea supported by Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) -- and to give "full amnesty" to undocumented immigrants. Indeed, a pathway to citizenship has, in recent days, been endorsed by McCain and other Republicans.

The group is casting a wide net with the calls. According to Dakin, people in Washington, Colorado, New Jersey and Virginia have so far reported receiving the call.

Caller ID lists Washington DC & caller hangs up on the answering machine.  Thought these calls were finished after the election was over... Do Not Call registration seems ineffective - we live in Colorado and don't do business with any companies in DC.

This gets better and better.  Now the message is "Impeach Obama!"  They ask that you 'press one' to make a contribution; 'press nine' to get rid of them.  As if!!!

I also got the call, but I didn't mind the call, Why, because I bought a Digitone Call Blocker.  www.digitone.com The first time they call, it rings my phone and the call comes through. I then block the number and the next time they call, my phone doesn't even ring and the blocker hangs up on them. You can even block entire area codes. I have it setup to block any incoming calls with the 202 area code. The blocker keeps track of all calls, good and bad ones. Then I like to check to see who got hung up on just for fun like I am now.

You need to buy one of these, you?ll like it. No monthly fees either

What good is the Do Not Call list if these people continue to call constantly.  If you want to talk to me, then leave a message.  My time is equally as important as those who call.

Received the robo call.  I normally hang up on these calls but this one was WAY too funny.  I couldn't hang up because I was LOL!  Next time I'll press the # 2 instead of 9.

This number keeps calling us all hours of the day and night.  It sounds like a fax machine and rings over and over at least 5 times with 5 minutes apart.  They call during the night while we are sleeping and we have to take the phone off the hook.

What cracks me up here is it's supposed to be political - Romney's campaign - needs the money - DC comes up - what are we supposed to be retarded???  HOW DO I KNOW who this is?  Oh yeah - just transfer me over and I'll give you my credit card info to use right over the phone - without a clue who YOU are.  God these people are a nightmare.  Obviously SCAM ARTISTS.  DO NOT EVER give out a bank account - credit card - NOTHING OVER A PHONE EVER!!!  You want to donate - do it in person somewhere legitimate!!  This phone stuff goes non-stop at my house.  It's a nightmare.  And even the FTC didn't stop it. Time to give up even having a home phone.  Terrible.

I receive calls from this number and it is a recording of Mitt Romney. There is no option to be removed fron
m their call lists and you can not call them back. I hate robo calls.
