I JUST GOT A PHONE CALL FOR THE SECOND TIME TODAY FROM 202-020-2020 THE LADY HAD ALL MY INFO. TOLD ME TO CALL JACOB BLACK AT 202-697-9128 AND TO GIVE HIM A NUMBER. CUROISTY GOT THE CAT, I CALLED HE SAID I OULD RECEIVE A CHECK TOMORROW FOR $6995.00 IF I WENT TO WALMART AND PURCHASED A MONEY PAK FOR $4.95 AND HAD $290.0O PLACED ON THE CARD. THEN I WAS TO CALL HIM AS SOON AS I GOT OUTSIDE AND HE WOULD HAVE THE CHECK IN THE MAIL.I JUST BECAME A WIDOW AT THE AGE OF 65. HE KNEW EVERYTHING INCLUDING WHAT TYPE OF INCOME I HAVE AND THE FACT THAT DUE TO AN ERROR IN THE WILL I HAVE LOST EVERYTHING. THIS ALMOST MADE ME FALL FOR IT. WHAT A TERRIBLE THING FOR SOMEONE TO DO WHEN SOMEONE IS DOWN..  PLEASE BE CAREFUL..

I just received a call from 202-020-2020 (weird number!).  I answered call and just like the above person (Martha) I was told the exact same thing.  WORD FOR WORD!  I didn't give them my age, but with hesitation I gave them my address.  I will NOT be calling Mr. Black back (202-697-9128) after 5 minutes due to the fact 'he is with another customer'.  I have received a call from this number probable 5 to 6 times this week.  Today I answered.  Do I have to be afraid of anything now - such as identify theft?  What a dummy!

this number is a scammmmmmmmmmmmmmm they do nothing do nothing but want you to send them more money. Just wish they where not so chicken s@#$ to have a location so the could get a taste of southern  justice

I got one of these calls from 202-020-2020 saying I was going to receive a govt. grant of $6700.00.....did not ever have to pay it back, but make sure to not use it for anything illegal.
I have to call Mr. Black at 202-679-9128, he is the only person who can release the money to me.
They called 4 times in the past 2 hours so I only answered to see who it was.
I did give them my address and age...do I have to be afraid of identity theft by only giving my address and age??

I recieved a call stating that I was approved a $1,500 loan. I was told because of my credit I need to send a refundable deposit of $200. I sent the money then was told I needed to send an extra $500. I backed out of the loan and was told I'd recieve my deposit money in 90 days. 90 days past I calle about my $200 then Jacob said I'd recieve it in 7 days. I call back after 7 days Jacob says I'll recieve my money after 14 days. I shouldn't have sent him anything!!! SCAMMERS!!!! This is a scam.  Don't fall for someone that says they will give you a government loan if you pay money up front.  Jacob got angry when I called him a scammer. They also called from 202-559-4622.

My sister almost fell for this scam.  She asked to borrow $200 so that she could receive a government grant. I refused to loan her the money after I spoke with Jacob who hung up on me after I told him they were a bunch of scammers.  They also had called her from 202-559-4622.  People like this should be put in prison for trying to scam someone who is on disability.

Caller: "202" area  code  fake  calls ,  bogus / fraud  scam

Man had accent from India.  Said money was a grant for remaining debt free for the past year.  Gave a grant operable number JA407.  Gave finance managers phone number as that above and said mgr's name was Jacob Black.  I was to call Mr. Black to arrange to receive money.

I am awarded Government money 37.500$ cash got my address Jacob name

I was actually given this number to call (in exactly 5 minutes) so that I could provide a confirmation number that was given to me in regards to a US Government Grant in the amount of $6,500. I received a call from 202-706-3461 from a lady (I'm assuming she was in a call center from all the background noise) who wanted to confirm my address (which was completely incorrect) so that I could receive this "grant" based on my lack of criminal record and paying my bills on time. This number and the name Mr. Black were given when I requested a street address and call back number to verify the agency before providing my correct address.

I recently got a call from a guy named Jacob as well at that number. It is a complete scam. Do not by any means fall for it.

Yea I fell for there mess and now they don't wanna talk unless you send more money I can't believe I fell for this mess they told me I was approved for a loan... I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else... Ugggghhh!!!!!

If it was legit, you'd get a letter from SS, not a phone call!  And thats best handled at the local SS office where you get a real person working for the real SS.  

What this guy is doing is trying to scam folks for money..

Seriously, Hindustani names are not Jacob, Charlie or Rob! Legitimate companies do not give away money via phone calls.

This is a con, they wanted taxes paid up front, when I said I couldn't pay the amount they hanged up.
