SO TIRED OF GETTING THESE PHONY CALLS  I HAVE THE OPTION TO IGNORE-SO I DO

I have been getting calls from this number. I did answer and a lady said I will get a grant for 10,000.00 and don't have to pay back.  I listened for a while, we had a very bad connection, she said I wanted the $ to be put.  I said, send me a check.  No can do, must be a checking/savings/debit card of sorts.  Told her to call back in a few days when I can open up an account. Ha Ha.  This must be some sort of joke.

same thing about the grant same amount $10.200 but mr kevin Watson did not ask for an account number instead he gave me a number to call back the sooner the better so here is the number this guy gave me 202 697-9752  did not call back what I did I file a complain to the real HHS ... good luck to everybody out there.

HAVE GOTTEN 5 CALLS TO DAY FROM THIS #.  LAST TIME I SAID TO THEM THAT IT WAS THE 5TH TIME THEY CALLED AND THE LADY SAID OK THEN I WILL TALK TO YOU WHEN I CALL FOR THE 6TH TIME.  THEN SHE HUNG UP ON ME.  THIS NEEDS TO STOP.

I got a call from 202-697-9306 today and when I asked who he was he told me to go "f**k myself", I am not kidding..and that's all I asked. At first I laughed, then I called back and told got a vmail and left him a FU back..but I really just want to find a way to report this incident.

I've been getting calls from this number and some other out of area numbers lately....I agree that it must be due to surveys I started to take for coupons and free gift cards.  (Women Get It Free and other sites like that)   I never complete the surveys because they are too long and repititious.....asking me in a million ways if I have diabetes or if I am incontinent LOL.  Just block the number and remember there is no such thing as a free lunch!

Someone has called from this number twice today. I never picked up on the calls and have read your posts. Thanks very much to all of you for letting everyone know. My mother was scammed a couple of years ago and I have warned her not to pick up on any unfamiliar numbers.

I recieved the same yesterday and today. It seemed like a scam to me also. They asked for my bank info. When I asked for a website explaining more they hung up.  Not cool.

I received a phone call from phone number 202-697-9306. A man (who was very hard to understand) informed me that I had been chosen to receive a grant from the Federal Government in the amount of $10,200.00. I asked him why I was chosen, and he said because I paid my taxes on time and am in good standing with the Federal Government. Then, he asked me how I would like to receive this money. I told him they could just send me a check if this was legitimate. He, then, asked me if I would like the money put into a checking, savings account or on my Master card or Visa. I asked him to explain again, and he began to yell at me. I told him that shouting was not going to help me understand any better. He, again, asked me how I would like this money given to me. I asked him if he would need my account information. He stated he would. I said that this didn't seem like it was legitimate. He began to get upset with me and, again, he asked me for an account to put the money into. When I asked him how he got my name and number, he hung up on me.

If they need your info like any bank info it is fake and power off.

I got a call from this number a few days ago bout 4 times. Today they called twice. Once at work and when i tried to call back I too got no answer. They called back after I got off and asked if Mariah was there. The fact that they knew my name led me to believe that maybe someone I knew got a different number so I asked who it was and he said his name was John White. Knowing I knew no one by the named I asked how he got my number and no sooner then I asked he hung up on me.

Got a call from this idiot.... told him he had the wrong number and he told me to quit lying and I was a liar.

I have been receiving a lot of bogus calls recently, including this phone number, and I stop the call without answerting.

That's what did it giving out our phone number to fake survey sites. Never again been getting unwanted calls over and over for days now.

I just got a call from this number. Since I'm multilingual, I answered and spoke to him in a foreign language. All he said was "hello?" and after saying a few words, he didn't say anything after that so I hung up.. I hope I don't get calls anymore..

These idiots are annoying!  They also told me that I received a "one time grant" from the government in the amount of 10,200.  That I could use on anything.  I had (3) options, and each one involved me giving them some type of card number.  I told them they could just mail me and check, and they said that wasn't an option.  So I said I wasn't interested, and hung up.  They called right back, but I didn't answer.  This number has been calling me for days!!!  I have never answered before.

I have received over a dozen calls from 202.697.9306 is the past three days (calling at all different times). As I don't know anyone with this number I let it ring but they never leave a voicemail (until today but no one said anything on the message).

I just received a call like 5 times today already each time I dont hear anything but they keep calling back and its getting annoying if I cant hear them they should stop calling. If they dont im gonna get them blocked.

My guess it is related to anyone that searched for educational grants or funding. The staff sounds as though there are 50 callers a in 500 sq ft room. I just kept saying "yes" to see what he would say next. He finally got to the point of saying I had three options to receive the money. The first was to give my account number - at which point I started laughing and said, "Are you kidding?!! Over the phone!" He became angry when I said I did not trust him. Someone needs to step in and shut this operation down. Even if it is something legitimate this is clearly a case where outsourcing is not effective.

The only thing I can figure is that it's a survey/info scam based on the fact that I searched for scholarship $.

Lady from India said her name is Katie and wanted to talk to my daughter that's only 12 years old, and she called her by name, minute I told her that's my daughter and how old she was the lady hung up. Was something about a government grant so she said.

Got a call from 202 607 9306 a few minutes ago.  Sounded like from, India said I was busy they then hung up on me.  Called back wouldn't answer.  Entered number on my cell as scam.

40 mins. earlier said i got money from gov. over10,000

It's still a scam - don't fall for it.  The government doesn't cold call people telling them they "qualify" for government grants.

Today, I too got a call  from this number saying that am qualified for a government grant and its from Washington. He called me like 5 times. His sound was not clear and he doesn't sound like an american. My sister told its a scam. But he told me the grant was 12000$(couldn't here it well) something and i don't need to pay anything to get it. I started taking surveys online(during this summer) and in some i gave my phone number, will that be a reason? are u guys into any survey sites?

I received a call today from someone who said they were from the government. I told him that there was static on the line and that I couldn't hear him. He hung up immediately after that.

i got a call from this number today saying i got selected by the government to get a grant they asked for info and everything dont do it its a scam.
