Just got a call from a restricted # and they asked me to call 202-697-9348 @ 5pm.     So I did, out of curiousity, call the number. They told me that I had been chosen because I had never filed bankruptcy or had any late payments.   They wanted me to send them $370 and they would put & $7000 in my acct.  I DON'T THINK SO!!!

I recieved a call from 206-377-9857,,they said it  was a government office and I had won  $7000 because I paid taxes and bills on time..I was  instructedd to call 202-697-9348 and give them a varification # and my money would be mailed to me.They asked did I want CCard or MO or put in an account.I told them to mail cash .. I have not called the # ..I suspected a scam and thought I would look up the #  on caller ID and see if I could find it.Seems to be a scam.

I just got this idk how they got my information but it worries me :((( I got all excited and I thankyou so much for telling it was fraud
You can tell they have been at this a long time

i got an answeronce, but they hung up on me when i asked whats next instead of verifying the name they had for me

had same call, cant get an answer at 202 number. had one once and when they mentioned the name, i asked so whats next and they hung up on me

Just got the same bull s*** and they try to tell u its real because they dont call from a blocked number. I told him i would be getting with my attorney to verify it and i needed a goverment id number and he studdered and i told him if he wants me to verfiy my identity then he needs to verify his.

I got the same call this is b***s*** this goes for you MR. Max williams you almost got me this has to stop 7000 grand my a** want me to send them 210 dollars for a deposit than I will get 7000 grand they should go to jail for life

they called me as well, from a restricted number and told me to call the 202 number, each person i talked to was foreign, they said i had to send 330 dollars for a deposit, and i qualified for 7000 dollars as long as i spent it on good things. and that i qualified because i have no criminal history and never filed bankruptcy....now as to how they got my number and address, i have no clue, but they knew who i was and i gave the guy a piece of my mind. ive been through this before with my ex mother in law, she lost everything when she pawned her ring for the deposit with the promise of a refund...my question is, if they wanted to make sure it was us, why not ask to verify the information and if its western union, they could have put a security on it for the reciever to show i.d.......def a scam

they just called me. its fraud

Can't stop them as they can't be found but if you blow a whistle down the phone at them every time they ring they'll soon give up or go deaf

I've gotten several calls promising 7000 dollars will be put in my acct they just need my information...they'll give you a fake id number and this dumb 202 number which they never answer..I find them to be a nuisance and there should be a way to at least get them to leave you alone!!

Received a call from a woman who told me the govt selected me for a grant of 7000 due to filing my taxes on time no bankruptcy and something else. He verified my account number but then said I have to western union them a sum of $310 to ensure I am who I say I am. Sounds fishy don't you think?
