Political robocalls come from the 202 Area Code. Don't answer them. Block them if you can. They are exempt from the Do Not Call Registry from my understanding.

A lot of people here work very hard trying to explain the limitations of legal vs. technical remedies for junk calls.  Then others spout their own political prejudices, completely nullifying the work of those who actually know something and have sensible suggestions to offer.  

I'm not going to offer any help here.  It's not worth the effort.

First of all, have you considered getting some profession help? There is something not right with you.

We paid two different companies to check the ownership of this telephone number that has called us with multiple hangups. As it turns out the responsible entity is SignOnxxx.
We did further checking and SignOnxxx is affiliated with movonxxx. This is  likely an underhanded effort by trouble makers trying to discredit Americans who are exercising their right to free speech.

We are on the do not call list. After receiving at least 3 hangups from this number and trying to call them back only to get a disconnected message, finally they called and I answered. When they said they were from the NRA section of the Tea party my husband got on the phone and spoke with the caller. When my husband tried to get information from the person calling by trying to convince him  were were like minded, the caller
became abusive with profanity and disparaged my husband for being a Nazi hater Republican. I really believe the people calling from this number are political activists trying to cause trouble by appearing to be conservatives, while they are actually radicals. My husband and I are independents and always vote the candidate and not the party. Challenge them when they call then report the call as harassment.

I got a call last night from this number. I found out these numbers are bought and sold like stocks on a daily basis, sally Pfeifer in Washington  is the last person to purchase this number.

I have Mr Number so the calls don't fully come through.. thank God for Mr Number.. Best App Ever! But it's still annoying. As far as it being the Tea Party.. I doubt it but don't know. I do know it's an auto-dialer gone crazy and whoever it is is not paying attention. So much for the Do Not Call Registry! Turns out to be worthless ..

It is a prerecorded political message.  The speaker talks too fast to understand what he's talking about.

The number calling you is from a Tea Party Organization you dimwit.  Maybe you should pick up your phone and talk to these idiots since   you would have alot in common,  especially your paranoia  and inability to face the fact you have lost your power and will never have it back.  Its a progressive world man, and you are getting left behind.  At least it will be good for America for people like you to be wiped off the political earth.  Oh, and ps,  its ALREADY happened!

I get calls from this # several times a week - And I have all our numbers on THE DO NOT CALL Registry!  Fed Up!  Same as the other posts - when you call it back, it says the # has been disconnected!

This is usually a scam...i would bet its ALWAYS a scam...Especially from D.C....i have had them in the past...all about 8/9 o'clock...so its easier to get you to agree to something to get off phone.....you call back and BAM...Disconnected...SCAM...if i dont know #...i dont answer #....with 30,000 illegal aliens released this week..our borders unprotected to the point of almost a recruiting station for Dems..the.scammers/terrorists/conmen...well they need money to facilitate the New American dream...RIPOFF..

Same here. When I called it back the message says "disconnected".

I also got a phone call from this number and I am also on the Do Not Call list but have not ever found that this helps at all.  I tried to return the call a few minutes later and was told the phone number was removed, not assigned or disconnected ... all in about 20 minutes????  Sounds really odd to me.

Received a call from this number and since the answering machine picked up they did not leave a message.
I am on the do not call registry....
