202-738-1532
Called today and stated that they were from the United States Federal Government and were going to give me $9000.00 for being a good citizen (never gone to jail , paying taxes on time, employed and married. Gave the number above (bank manager) and stated to call immediately and provide the following code id sI507. They asked if I would like the funds sent via western union, credit card account or bank account. I did a little research and realized that this was fraud. Do not call!!!!!

They called a few days ago and I told them that I was not interested. They said that this would be the only time they would call me.They called again and said that I had won a grant for 9000 dollars and that all I had to do was to go to western union and give them 180 dollars and that I would receive my money. They said that I would get the 180 back along with the grant a total of 9180 dollars. It was a lady and she said her name was Sandra Long. This woman had a foreign accent and I don't think there are many foreigners named Sandra. If something sounds to good to be true then it usually is.

IT"S A SCAM!!! I just received a call from someone claiming to be at the Treasury Department...obviously I didn't give out any information just confirmed what "they" already had. When I called back the 202-738-1532 number a Mr. Derek Clark answered and said he was from the Treasury Department I gave him my "confirmation code" and asked him if this was indeed a government agency, he assured me that it was and put me on hold....never to return of course! I would love if someone were able to shut down these scams! I have been out of work and been applying for several different government grants/loans for a little over 2 years (THE government NEVER asks you for any money, if you had any they wouldn't be giving you any ) so it sounded almost real at first, then I remembered that NOTHING our government does is ever that fast or simple...there would be tons of paperwork to fill out and return by a ridiculously small window of time and then....more waiting! I didn't get so far as to have these people ask me for money but NEVER give out any information to ANYone over the phone!

You sounded like I did cause I chose cash too. I kept saying ummmm hmmm until they said you can get your money today. That's what opened my eyes, but when they came back and said $280 I was done.

I got this call today and I asked is this a scam cause you know that I can easily call the Treasury to find out. I would have went along with it if it wasn't for them asking for $280.00. When they ask for money you know they are pulling your leg. When I said I do not have that kind of money they said we will hold it for 14 days. I called the Federal Reserve Bank in D.C. and the lady said it is a scam. I hope they find them before someone gives them their hard earned money, thinking they have a blessing of $9,000.00. I wish it was real tho.

My poor friend who has been a U.S. Citizen for only 9 years received this call. I called the number on her behalf and I could barely understand the man's accent. This is a scam! If you received a grant of $9,000 you would receive the money in the mail, not have to provide them with money to receive your money. I asked for written verification and was told that was not possible. This needs to be reported to someone so that other unsuspecting people are warned. I will try to call the telephone company and see if I get anywhere. Keep your money, friends!

These morons tell you to call 202-738-1532 with a code number to get your 9000 dollars. This one sounded like he was a graduate of Bin Ladin's cave. Frigging idiots.

I got a call from a guy telling me that I had revived a govt grant in the amount of $9000. He asked me how I wanted to receive the money credit, cash, western union. Long story short they wanted me to "secure" the money with $200. Haha. They must think I'm dumb!!!

A woman first, then transferred me to a man called telling me i had received a grant from the federal government and they could send it to me today. however, they asked how i would like to receive my grant, (cash, visa card, or direct deposit) i chose cash because no way would i give my direct deposit information. and he explained to me that i would go through western union, but first i needed to make a "security deposit" of 280$. He gave me his name as a employee with the federal government as Collin Edwards with the Health and Human services department. I had almost believed him.
