I received a call that I should by a Greet Dot Money Pak paypal voucher for $100.00 in order to get my $9,000 the government is going to give me.   Please!!!!  Grants have a process which include application free of charge.   Who are they kidding?

Just got a call was a foreign woman said I had been chosen to  receive $9000. Grant money free not have to pay back .She gave me a number to call 202-738-4703 you could tell she was reading off a paper, my code was sp702 she had my name and address and age---what now? When u call that number it's a recording playing. When she called showed up unknown where did they get my number?

I just got a call from this number saying the same thing except when I said I want a check mailed to me they said ok that I should receive it on Monday and to call and let them know I received it , weird I hate when people play with your life when so many people out there really need the money , 202-738-4703 is the # that they gave me to call back this is the # that called me 202-407-9185 , I played along but did not give them no personal information at all , I don't trust phone calls like these .

Same thing happened to me just now but they wanted me to call a jimmy johnson!!!

I was applying for grants and thought it could be legit until they said go to western union and pay $220 down before they transfer the money. Then a red flag went up and thought I would love for them to get in trouble for this and thought I would check out whos phone number it really is. They even sounded evil to me.

I got a call from this number and they were offering $9,000 in federal grant money. Supposedly, I was one of 1,700 people across the country to be selected for this money, because I had always payed my taxes on time. Side note: my taxes have been late for the last two years, which is the reason I still haven't received my refund. They then directed me to 203-923-4781. Both parties had thick middle eastern accents. They said to go to western union and provide $220 to wave waive processing fees that would apperently total over $2,000. I've reported both numbers to the federal trade commission and the Texas consumer protection commission. Watch out for these people and don't give them any info just hang up when it sounds too good to be true. It is! The government doesn't give out grants without huge piles of paperwork. For once the the beuqacratic process actuall was helpful.  

I received the phone call and was told to call this # 202-738-4703 so I said sure what the heck lol.. so I called and gave them my code # as I was asked to do so they could finish the process of Western Union my money to me.. all was great but extremely odd until they told me I would have to pay 220.00 to the western union for taxes of the money. They told me to call them once I arrived there so they could walk me through it.  Lol yeah ok! First of all the sender pays any fees for the transaction at western union not the receiver.  If the receiver had any money then we wouldn't be needing their money.. yes the 9,000.00 dollars would be nice and help out alot but really... if the government is going to give u any money they wont be calling u and having u to call another number.. they will send u a letter and explain everything to u and if its going out to 17 thousands people it would be plaster all over the news.. would like to know how this actually works tho. I bet they giving u all the info to send them the 220.00 through Western Union and not the other way around.  Are they really that stupid to think that people wouldnt be asking the clerk to show u that 9k was waiting on u and that u wouldn't realize that u was sending them money instead of filling out to receive.  God I hope we dont have any Americans stupid enough to fall for this..

I was offfered $9000 but had to pay $250 to western Union.  Any real grant is completely free!

I just got the call. I didn't argue with the guy because I could barely understand him anyway. I told him that I only have a prepaid debit card and asked if they could send it to that. Of course they couldn't! Surprise surprise! Also, They didn't even know my last name or age. That should be a huge hint that it is a scam. If they were really from the government, they would know would know more about you than just your first name, phone #, and address. I am down and really need the money but I did not fall for it. These scammers really need to be stopped!

My daughter who is a single mother and going to school has been hounded by these people for 2 weeks.
She received a calls from a man impersonating a Government Grant Counselor, advising me that she had been awardered a  $9,000.00 Grant because of her recent school registration and income status.They asked her to call "Darla McCarcer" with her grant confirmation number then  bring $290 in cash to the nearest western union for filing and processing fees
Fortunately she has the good sense to know that grant money does not have fees applied to it.  These people are real low lifes.  Keep passing on the information to anyone you know that might not be as savy on things as others.  They will find those that are less informed and they will be victimized.

In India and Pakistan its not illegal to scam dumb Americans.  They cannot be stopped.  We can continue to pass the word that its a scam.  Eventually everyone will know and the scammers will run out of victims.  That will stop them.

they called me with a grant i never applied for i was randomlly selected out of 15,000 people to receive 9.995 dollars it is a complete scam. no one gives money away like that without even applying.he also called with a strong indian accent when i asked for him name, so amerian stanley dawson, i am far from racist but dnt fall for the wester union story or check, debit card. this really needs to come to a stop!.He also said he is from the federal grant department.

I received a call today from Washington, Government Grant, advising me that they have a $9,000.00 Grant has been approved for me because of my good records as a citizen (?)  They asked me to call "David Morrison" with my grant confirmation number.
This have to be stop, if the government has money for you they will just send it, no questions asked.

This number was given to me after a previous number that kept calling. When I answered today, they gave this 202-738-4703 number to call the accountant, Kevin Parker, for the grant transaction.

First off, "Kevin Parker" is an American name that would have a white/black accent. The guy on the phone clearly sounds like an Indian/Pakistani. Second, the bells went off when I told them I'd rather have a check because they insisted in a hostile way that cash is better than a check and I should choose that option. Third, I have been applying for college grants and NEVER did I have to pay for anything! "Kevin" wanted me to bring $330 in cash to the nearest western union and call him before I go in so he can talk me through it. Something did not seem right, so I googled the number while I was on the phone with him and found this and other sites. I hung up quickly!

These jerkoffs have been calling me for days about grant money. I've never heard of u getting grant money without applying for a grant. Who does that!? So today, a guy named Kevin Parker who was clearly of Indian descent. U can tell he had an older voice and just learned English, (not a racist!) Called me today saying if I went to Western Union with $330 that it would pay for the business to business transaction. And bank transaction... I mean I really feel like they're calling the ones who fall for the crap! Idk, someone needs to do something about this situation!!! ASAP...
