I got the call from 202 747 1798 a man by the name of Mike Brannon as he called himself called looking for some Muriel or what not and started asking me for my information, I have a 310 number but I live in NY. When I stated so he became rude and snobbish. Anyways I've had a similar call from the same number but from a guy named Chris Spencer.
Mike Brannon, Chris Spencer. These are two names I'm having an "Associate" look into. In all seriousness I am quite sick of these calls. If There is anyone else who has been receiving calls from this number I highly suggest reporting it to the proper authorities (IRS,FBI).

This person called four times in a span of 10 minutes and only left one message, in regards to having a matter that needs my immediate attention, and it would be in my best interest to settle this matter either by me or my legal console. Action will be taken to resolve this matter and left the following number 1-202-747-1798.  And also stated this is not a solicitor, and this phone call need requires your prompt attention.  Really, if it needs my prompt attention then why can't an actual live person leave a message? Instead, it's a recording. Shame, Shame, Shame, now I know your phone number and now I can call the my Attorney General for my state and report you.  You think with all the money they sucker people out of they could actually have a real actual person making these phone calls. Got a call from 202-747-1798 saying that it would be in my best interest myself or my counsel to call as soon as possible for a voluntary resolution of "this" matter.  I'm not sure what "this" matter is nor did they include the name of the company, to whom I should speak with, yet gave some random "account" number.  

Just got the same type of recorded message regarding a returned check.  Figured it was a scam and blocked the call.  I use Mr. Number for the call blocking and it works really well and it is free.

They're scammers.  Don't let the calls bother you.  If you can block the number(s) on your phone, do so.  If not, you may want to look into getting a call blocker.

This guy told me I'm an unemployed loser that doesn't pay his bills. I told him I am recording these messages to give to the proper authorities he then said I am harassing him and said I'm just a loser that will never make anything of themselves. What kind of business calls you to tell you these things?

Got the same call about some returned item up for collection when I don't even write checks, LOL It wasn't even for me so I'm not going to worry about it. They can bend over and kiss their own butts for all I'm concerned along with all the other frauds out there. I am so happy that you are wasting their time as they have wasted ours, lol Kudos to you! Message they left was automated with the person's name they were calling for digitized and certainly not me so don't worry about this caller - they are obviously fakers/frauds trying to make you call them back to obtain your real name and info so don't bother with them as I am going to do. I will be reporting to the FCC DNC list. Whitepages list this number as coming from a VOIP caller with no location and I hope they get busted by law enforcement.

Called and said he was collecting a debt for a payday for E-Dollar. He had my employer info as well.

I have received 4 calls in the past month for a garbled name telling me that I have a returned item from my bank.  I called back and I got an answering machine for John Anderson.  Although ACB ASSETS called me and my caller ID said Aptell, INC.  The first time I called back I left a message on the answering machine telling them we had just moved to this area and it was a new number and please remove us.  No calls for a week, then they started up.  I actually got Mr. Shawn Payne (who sounds just like John Anderson on the voicemail) yesterday.  I gave him the case number and he said he was looking for a Cynthia Williams and did I know her.  I said no I do not, now please remove my number.  He said since you asked me so rudely we're going to keep calling.  I turned the tables on him as it was the 10th snowday this year and I have cabin fever and just kept calling him back.  Occasionally he would answer, other times I would just fill up his voice mail with the comments on here.  Another call today as he had promised.  I have filed a complaint with the FTC online.  I am registered on the Do Not Call registry.  I told him I would complain to the FBI, he said he WAS the FBI.  Whatever.  Other than posting on here, everyone needs to make a complaint to the BBB.  They will investigate and shut them down hopefully sooner rather than later.  They don't annoy me with their calls, I find it funny and when I have free moments I call and sing songs to them or tell them about my day.  If I'm tying up his outgoing line, he can't bother others.  

Dial *67 and prank call them until they change their number.  Stop scammers, you can't report them because they use fake numbers and won't give you a valid company name or address.  Might as well just shut down their scam operation.

You know, even if you DO owe something, they aren't suppose to be threatening people, especially if they have no plans on doing so. They need to be shut down! I keep getting these same message even though i don't know what the heck their talking about when they say i had something "returned" from the bank. That is how they get you to call.

I got that same message also. Nothing was returned from your bank, and even if their was, you would have heard about it from your bank FIRST. Ignore it. I'm just wondering how many people freak out over calls like this.

Wow.......I was worried until I found this. I was suspicious of these voicemail's. As I have tried to clean up my debt over the last couple years I know I still may have some stuff lingering. But for someone to call me several times with some of my personal information seemed very convincing.

No they can't touch you.  This is a scam.  Report to the local police.

These guys are A**les!  DO NOT give into their cunning tongues.  They are very knowledgable about how the court system works and they try to intimidate you by the way they come across.  Hang up ASAP.  I gave them a piece of my mind and let asked them how could they live with themselves doing this to innocent people.  He got really mad at me and hung up on me, haha.  Please do not give into their threats, they are a lie!

My parents keep receiving a phone call from this number and so I finally called them back and I spoke to a Shawn Payne and John Washington and both threatened to take me to court or put a tax lien on me or garnish my wages. I asked for proof of debt and they said they could not provide it to me. They said I took out a loan from an address that I lived at 2 years prior to when they said I actually took out the loan. They also referred to me as my previous married name which I did not use when they said I applied for the loan. I told them that I live right outside of DC and I would be glad to drive to their office and see what paperwork that they have on me. The guy hung up on me. Not sure how to get them to stop calling my parents.

I just got one of these calls too... They had asked for my last 4 digets of my SSN and I told them NO then they said I need your address and I told them that if they had mailed papers to me already then they have my mailing address... The guy got mad and hung the phone up on me... they don't know but I can be a BI*** and I don't back down... So they need to get a life and leave everyone alone, that works hard and even the ones that go to school... Besides I haven't had a checking account in over 20 yrs... They talking like they going to take my taxes, funny... Plus I have a new number so how in the hell did they get my number...

Just got a message from 1-202-747-17988. Spoke with a Robert who has my last four of my social security number. They said I owed a payday loan, which I do not owe. He went to call me a bum and I never pay my bills he said he had my credit report in front of him. I am disabled and he threatened my SSID, which I do not think they can.

I hardly ever use my cell phone.  I just got my first voice mail messages from (202) 747-1798.  They were saying something about ACB(?) Assets, my file number, a returned item from my bank, a way for voluntary resolution.  Also, at the beginning of their message, when they were stating who the message was for, the name was garbled/not understandable.  Of course, that was because they did not know my name.  

I just received a vm from the same guy named Chris Spencer, advised me to call bk 202-747-2798. He had my last 4 of my social. Are we supposed to contact the FBI?

They called my unlisted number and my father - I don't have outstanding debt - never did.  I have never done anything illegal - come to my house - my BG's will take care of you scum!
