yes got samer phony call  from same guy!

Found a message on my answering machine about IRS and a sheriff coming to my home to arrest me. Call it back realized it was a scam immediately. I told him to come arrest me now I can't wait to 45 minutes they told me that I would have. they hung up. I called back again actually got the guy to loosen up and admit to me that that its a scam but he worked very hard and put in long hours on the phone I asked him how many people fall for this he said about 1 and 1000 I asked how much money does he ask the people to send to make this go away he said 3900.00 he said and then he tells the people they will get a certified letter in the mail within 4 days letting them know that they are all set and no action will be forward against them. He actually broke down and confided in me like I was his friend telling me how this whole thing works. I couldn't believe it. I said are you really in Washington He said I don't want to lie to you I'm not in Washington but I can't tell you where I am

I also received a phone call just a few minutes ago, claiming he was from the IRA. He  threaten me that I would  be behind bars.  I  hung up and this accented ( oriental) man called me three times.....asking me ,"Why I hung up?" insisting that I committed fraud.  Since, I recognized this as a scam, I said I think you are the one whose fraudlent.   He I hung up immediately..  THIS A TAX SCAM........BEWARE SENIORS.   i HAVE AN UNLISTED NMBER, YET  HE WAS ABLE TO TELL ME MY NAME AND ADDRESS.

Caller said he was from the IRS and said I owed back taxes because there was a mistake made on them I was suppose to give them $3,900 to him or else I would be arrested . And the caller got angry when I said I was going to check him out before I send him anything

Fake IRS call from person from India named Mike Jones.  Said he needed address so police can come get me.

I also received a phone message from a Raymond Hoffman today 3-22-14 said he is from the IRS Fraud criminal division, threatening legal action against me to please call 202-751-2537, before it is entered into the criminal database.

There is a fairly common IRS or "tax scam" being practiced by scammers in both Canada and the USA.

I received a phone call by someone claiming to be working for the IRS inspecting me for fraud and threatening legal action against me and threatening to issue a warrant for my arrest.  This is clearly false for many reasons.  I would like the calls to stop and for this individual to be prosecuted for impersonating an IRS official.
