This person calls our company daily and just like everyone else who receives a call, no one is there and hangs up.  I too have tried calling back, but get a voicemail and cannot leave a message, not surprised.  I hope they find out who keeps calling.

We receive a call from this number daily.  The call is dropped as soon as we answer and when we call back, no one answers the phone.

My office has been receiving this call for a couple of days now, the only problem is they hang up before even giving the 800 number message.  Would you mind posting the 800 number? I'm trying to get to the bottom of this.

Been getting call as described above. I called charter tonight and got put on their do not call list . The calls started 2 weeks ago after I called inquiring about the services and pricing. Glad I made the decision to stay with att uverse.

I receive a call from 202-800-5566 everyday, but they don't respond when I answer. When I call back I get a message instructing me to press any button to leave a message or hold the line. Regardless, the line always disconnects afterwards.

NOTE: telemarketers are often required to make 50+ calls per day. That being said, this might be an employee dialing numbers simply to meet a call count.

This number keeps calling my phone that is pretty much disconnected other than the voicemail portion. When I try to call it back from my cell phone, I get nothing. Tired to call the people at Peerless Network and same thing, I get nothing

Ok, well so much for them taking our number off their list...it is now a week later and we are still getting the calls. This is really disrupting our work environment.

I called the number listed above for Peerless Network and asked for my number to be removed. The customer service rep was very polite and understanding. He said he would take my number off the list and it would take 24-48 hours to be completed. I will be happy when it is complete and I am not wasting time on a call that is nothing, when I have important customers and potential customers calling.

I just received a call from this number on my cell. No voice mail was left.

Received a call from this number. The caller ID read CHARTER COMM. The speaker claimed to know that we were having trouble with our new installation and services, said there was an internal investigation, and reps were being fired over it. It was strange and uncanny. It caused a huge situation between Charter and us. DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING THAT ANYONE FROM THIS NUMBER TELLS YOU!

I am a Charter customer also. When I answered a recording said "this is a call from Charter" please call us at" and they left a different number than the caller ID. I didn't have a paper and pen to write the number down.

202-800-5566 is owned/authorized by PEERLESS NETWORK, in Chicago.  Their telephone number is:  312 506 0920.  Their President is John Barnicle.  He has been advised on numerous occasions to cease and desist and to terminate this number so that hundreds of innocent people don't continue to receive calls from this number which hangs up.  EVERYONE SHOULD CALL MR. BARNICLE AND REITERATE THAT THIS IS INTOLERABLE AND THEY "BETTER" DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.  A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT IS CONSIDERED.

I'm going to call Mr. Barnicle first thing Monday A>M.  Let's see how he feels about receiving hundreds of calls from outraged and victimized people who are tired of answering their telephones day and night and then hearing SILENCE.  Perhaps we should just call his extension and say nothing and see how he likes it!

A guy named "Marshall" in their Network Operations Center refused to discuss this number.  He was arrogant, evasive, and belligerent.  and he should be fired if I were CEO John Barnicle.  

Let's all give Mr. Barnicle a piece of our minds and tell him what we think of his employee named "Marshall" and its practice to allow its customer to continue to harass hundreds of customers, day and night, day after day!

I have been receiving hang up calls day and night from this number. waking my family and me. I can't sleep. When one calls the number, you get a busy.  I have made a complaint to Charter and they do nothing.  I'd like this number to call the President of Charter in New YOrk and see how he likes being called day and night with hangups from this number.  I'd like to know who was assigned this number and why Charter has not discontinued its service for violation of its "telephone use" provision of terms of contract.  Anyone have any ideas?

My mother is recieving calls from this number and the man was extremely rude. The man said he was frim charter and he was totally hood when he talked to her. He tried to get my mother's information. They are not from Charter.

Just so you know, IF YOU have done business with Charter within the past 18 months OR if YOU HAVE CALLED THEM within the past 3 months, it doesn't matter if you are on the "do not call list" registry or not, YOU HAVE TO TELL THEM TO PUT YOUR NUMBER on their DO NOT CALL LIST PERSONALLY, in order for the calls to stop.  That is WHY you are receiving these calls and unable to speak to anyone, THEY DON'T WANT TO HEAR THOSE WORDS from you.

Very Annoying telephone calls. Several times in the kast two weeks my business phone rings once and before I pickup it hangs up. I attempt to call back and I get busy signal.

I've gotten 4 calls yesterday alone, plus more before that. Doesn't that constitute harassment? I don't answer a number I don't know.

Getting calls every day from this number. Says "Charter".   So much for the Do Not Call List.
What the hell do these robo-calls accomplish, anyway?

Called for a business quote for a while back and decided to bypass their services in favor of others. Started getting these calls a week after the quote expired, now getting them about twice a day. Dead air every time and no one picks up the phone. Um, kudos for managing to lose even a potential customer, Charter!

Quit calling my number!  If this is indeed a call from republicans posing as Charter I swear I will never vote republican again.  These are harassing calls and I am reporting them to the FCC

Had at LEAST 10 calls from this outfit. Dead air every time I check my voice mail.  

I am betting this is a "call-bot" for a phishing outfit.  "Michael in MA" reported on 11 Jul 2012 the message stated  " You have been contacted by your local cable company.  If you have any questions about this call, call 1-800-XXX-XXX." Since Charter is his local cable company , he assumed it was Charter.  

HOWEVER, Charter LOVES the sound of their on name.  Would NEVER refer to themselves as
"your local cable company."!!!  So BEWARE of phishing.  

This is 2013, so 202-800-5566 might be a different gang of pirates running a completely new scam.   So, CYA!!!   Do not give up any information!!!

JUST CALLING EVERY DAY

I just cancelled my Charter account after 15 years of pure hell with them.  They have never done me any favours.  All aspects of Charter Communication are just plain wrong.  Their internet service is choppy and stalls. The 30 Mega Bits per second will seem just as slow as ATT DSL but only sort of good for large downloads.
They have obnoxious, incompetent technicians that come to your house.  No One Knows What They Are Doing!

Basic TV and internet for just under $100?  That is no bargain.  Add in the crap they pull, and it is a no brainer to get a different service.

If I have done business with them in the past do they have a right to keep harassing me on my phone?

Charters main office is in Madison Wisconsin.  Why is 202-800-5566 calling me? That is not a Madison area code.

This number is now on my block list.  They're just going to get a squeal when they try to call back.
