I received a call as well from this number. Person pretended to be from the Criminal Investigation division of the IRS. He put on a good show, but then became really rude and I figured he was a fraud. I called him back several times to find out more about this scam/operation, and he used vulgar language and spoke Hindi. As an Indian American and US gov't official, I'm ashamed that such fraudsters call from India-based call centers and harass us Americans. I told him his soul was doomed. These people are the scum of the Earth, and judgment day will be miserable for them. They caller ID is spoofed to show a 202 number. After his call, some bozo from a 585 area code called me. He seemed like an older fool. I asked him if he knew what the IRS stood for, and surprisingly, the moron-sounding man knew. He was trying to collect some money from me. These guys are true scum. I would hate to be related to them. Mark my words - their souls are doomed.

Some guy pretending to be the irs with fake credentials. I told him I would wait for my letter in the mail. He never called back. The number came up as an irs number but the call back number was the 202 area code. Dummy
