This number called 3x today, Sept. 4th, with a caller ID of Washington, DC.

I have tried repeatedly to call them and ask that they remove our number but all I kept getting was a rapid busy signal!

Even if is a "recognized" organization, they should be heavily fined for:

1)  not having their organization's name as the caller ID
2)  not having a way for you to take your name off their list either via phone or email.

What sneaky little sleazes and their constant calling constitutes harrassment!

They called again today. Since I was in a good mood, I answered by saying, "HELLOOOOO".  I am not 100% what this clown said, but I think asked for somebody I never heard of.

Just got a call from this number, didn't pick up but someone named Alisha kept saying can you hear me alright ? I should have answered it and said " No, I'm deaf in one ear and can't hear in the other" Ha Ha.

This number just called.  Said it was an Invalid from DC......must have been Obama!  I am putting them on my call blocking list now...........

Started getting these calls today.....three, so far.  "They" hang up mid-way through my answering machine's message.  Love the company's name!!  I stress the first syllable ;-)

I would stay away from the option to press a number to be added to a do no call list. It often increases the number of calls. Unless of course that is what you are aiming for.

That said, I just let these unwanted calls to the answering machine and hope I am not stuck with an unwanted message.

You cannot call the number back and hit 1 to be removed because it always rings busy signal.

This number called  around 6:15 PM eastern and displayed Invalid from DC.  It would appear to be some type of political call. It might be AARP or somebody claiming to be AARP.  Considering the exceptions in the DNC registry, this could fall under one of them.
If you think it is bad now, just wait until you get closer to election day.

I agree with you to a certain degree. Yes we must unite. But I am not a Christian patriot. I am an American that is fed with the games of the two party system that only cares about their donors. If they truly cared they would work together and they aren't. That is why I am no longer registered with a party.

seven calls in two days?  What are they on drugs?

I am on the Do Not Call registry but I got several calls from this number, with no one on the other end of the line.

Received 7 phone calls all within 3 hours of each other the last 2 days. My caller ID on my land line says Washington DC. I have not answered or called back and when it goes to the answering machine it's just a few seconds of silence left on the recording.

on 12/7 I actually answered the phone calling from 202-803-4999. They have been relentlessly been calling for days and since I didn't know anyone in Washington DC per my phone ID, I never answered before.
It was AAPR saying they were doing a survey and wanted me to answer a few questions. I told him I was ill and had been awaiting a call from call so didn't want to tie up my phone, told him I was on a do not call list and requsted to remove my name.  There was no response from the gentleman so don't know what was done.  This number would call every 2 to 3 hours every day so that's why I surrended and answered,
Don't have any phone that can block etc etc......oh well, will see what will happen.  This type of call has to stop!!!!!!!

Got 5 calls in last two days, varying times throughout the day. On the last one yesterday a female voice left a message "My name is Jessica. Can you hear me?"  I am blocking this number today.

It may have been political before, but now it's AARP.  It was a live person, but it took at least 30 seconds for the call to connect.  I guess he could hear me.  Of course, it was right in the middle of dinner.  He started off with "This won't take very long."  I think he said his name was Joe.  They called again today at 4:46 instead of 6:15, but I didn't answer.  I'm sick of all of the calls.  And we're on the Do Not Call list.  What a joke.

I got 2 calls no message, no one on the line. Why would be calling after the electins anyway??

Get phone calls two -three times a day from 202-803-4999, the caller I.D. shows only Washington D.C. and when I answer the phone it goes dead!! The Caller I.D. on the Television lists the phone number in Washington D.C. . I call the phone number and a recording with a Man's voice states If you want to be placed on our Do Not Call List push 1, then the phone goes dead,  I have pushed 1 many times before, but they persist, Who actually is the subscriber to this phone number?????

Even though i am on a do not call register these calls always get through.
What is their purpose.
I do not think the penalties are stiff enough, The death penalty might be a good place to start, what do you think?

I got this today on 12/5/12. There was a recorded message then a guy got on and said "Hello?" then hung up. It said "Washington DC" for the ID. When I tried to call back and hit "1", I got a message of "This call cannot be completed" message. If this is Obama's people calling, he and they are wasting their time. I didn't want Obama in the first term, and I still don't want him now. The S.O.B. insists on coming to my state for Christmas. All he does is screw up the traffic. He doesn't have enough consideration to come in late night or early AM when traffic is light. He wants to make an entrance by coming in during rush hour and screwing up traffic because of road closures/re-routing. Wish his people would stop making these calls.

Every day these jerks call. They don't care if you have sleeping babies or anything else. Stop calling me. Stupid jerks. Leave me & everyone else alone. You're annoying. Go find a real job.

I get calls from this 202-803-nnnn number many times per week.  THe last 4 digits vary.  No message is left.  I don't pick up unless I know the caller.

Called back and pressed 1.  We will see if it actually does anything or if it just lables it as a good number and sells it all over the world!

I get the same thing,   They have called the last 2 days and nobody ever says anything.  We have got calls from this number before with the same results.

Please take me off y9ur calling list!
