Received a call from this number hung up before I got to the phone have received a call before.  Annoying phone calls.

Received a call from this number did not leave a message.  Keeps calling Asked to be taken off of there list put still receives these calls.

Not that company holds no 202 area code business entity
Will not speak to you unless you give them your home phone number
Call comes with abandoned call multiple times a month which is illegal per the FCC laws
High probability they are getting you to "give" away your phone number for big data sales
Once you give your number...you have implied consent for this company to use it to sell to another or do whatever they wish

I gave them my Google voice number and they could only repeat this number to me but not identify who I was.  I did indeed inform them that I was filing the FCC complaint, Verizon complaint (if they would answer the phone) and suggested that if they did not cooperate that I would indeed call the police and file a report.

They called tonight, I answered, they didn't say anything so I hung up.

I called this number back per your advice and spoke to a courteous woman who answered the phone by saying:

"Circulation. Hello my name is ******* and we are not selling anything. How may I help you." I told her we needed to get off their list and she immediately put me through to an automated system that confirmed my telephone number and allowed me to press 1 to get off the list.

Very bizarre, but I hope this will be the end of this.

No one responded when I answered....previous posts indicates this a telemarketer.  Please have them adhere to the no call list protocol.

I pick the phone and no answer on the other end, you hello twice then the hang up

I didn't answer, when the name comes up as "unavailable" I never answer.  I don't subscribe to any newspaper and I haven't advertised in one.  I am definitely NOT a customer.

This would appear to be a grey area in the Do Not Call law.  You do not have not have to be a political, charitable or survey caller to also not be covered.  The operative trigger for a violation seems to be an attempt to sell you goods or services via the call.  Since this caller was not selling you anything, merely seeking your permission to add an advertising supplement to your Washington Post delivery, it may not be a violation.  He did adhere to the portion of the law that requires all callers to place you on their internal Do Not Call list.  In most cases, complaints to the Do Not Call website do not get added to the database if no attempt to sell goods or services was made. The exception is for otherwise not covered callers whom you have requested to be placed on their Do Not Call list who continue to call.

We've been receiving calls from this number (202-803-7381) regularly; with hang-ups when the answering machine kicks in.  I called back over the weekend, it rang once, but nobody ever answered.  They called again today, hung-up and I called back.  I asked why they were calling in violation of the Do Not Call Law.  They claimed that they were not in violation; that they were selling anything, but offering a free "savings" publication for the Washington Post.  When I advised them that that is neither a political nor a charitable organization, and therefore not exempted, they asked if I wanted to speak with their supervisor.  I said that I did and was transferred.  The supervisor came on quickly, identified himself as Mr. Lopez.  I asked him why I was receiving these calls in violation of the Do Not Call law.  He never answered that; but immediately offered to take my number off their Call List; and further verified that it "is not Forwarded to another number."

Bottom Line:  They appear to be playing fast and loose with the Do Not Call law.  I suspect that they are a vendor doing contract work for The Post; but, they say that they are calling for The Post when you press them.

Got called a few times and didn't pick up.  Then the last two times I picked up, and the other end hung up.  I called back and the wanted to send me some coupons.  I asked to be removed and they did it right away.

Received several calls this week.  I finally picked up, no one answered even after I said hello twice.  I'm not sure why I'm getting these either but it's bad business practice to waste people's time like this.  No messages ever left either..

I just got a call from this number, they will not leave a message. I checked my caller ID and they have been calling since last week. Next time I will answer it and tell them to remove my number as well. Thanks

I called the number back. The guy answered Circulation Department. Said they're calling to see if I was interested in some sort of Sunday coupon magazine delivery. I told him I'm not interested and asked to have my numer taken off their call list. He was pleasant and said he would take me off their list. If they call again I won't be so nice.
