I get this call 10 p.m.   I'd like for this to stop.  If my caller ID doesn't have a name on we don't answer.

ALA has called every day for the last 4 days, as early as 9:00 AM and as late as 8:45 PM using the following numbers :

When calling the last two numbers back, I receive a message that the call cannot be completed as dialed. When calling the first number back, it connects me to the EMERGENCY ROOM OF A LOCAL HOSPITAL !

I also have caller ID and they keep calling but wasn't sure who it was....course didn't answer but like everyone else it's annoying!!!!!!

We constantly get calls from these people at least once a day, up to and after the donation deadline for 2012 of December 31st.  They never leave a message but still call all hours of the day and night. If they really are the American Lung Association, we have donated to these people in the past by mail, but never again.  If they can afford to constantly call for money all the time, they've already got enough to throw around.  We don't donate to any charity that hounds us for money.

I have filed complaint with the FCC.  I am tired of getting these calls like everyone else here.  This is called harassment and invasion of privacy.  I am listed on the do not call list.  I suggest everyone do the same.

Same thing as everyone else from three different numbers at all hours of the day--during the week and weekend. How wasteful is this? I mean, I'm about to formally complain in several ways about the ALA permitting themselves to be represented like this and what do they and the idiots calling think.....that after harassing phone calls every day I'm going to pick up one day and give $??

Instead, I'd sue them first now.

I have to say that these sewer-dwellers that are calling on behalf of the American Lung Association may (for me personally) win the most harrassing/annoying and ineffective telemarketers ever. They are calling at least three times a day. Earliest has been 830 am. Latest nearly 9pm. They use at least three different #'s :

The ALA should be blasted in the media and contacted through social media, Facebook, Twitter and direct calls to THEM for the clowns they are wasting $ using and putting off so many people.

We get a call from this number every day. The caller Id shows ALA. This has been going on for quite a while. I never answer. They are not promoting their cause by annoying people.

They call everyday at various times.

We are on the " Do Not Call List" and get this call 2 -3 x's per day even on the weekends.

This is the American Lung Association..I called back and punched in the appropriate do not call info..we'll see..

They call twice a day - at least.  It always says "ALA".  I have tried answering, but there is never anyone there.  With as many people that are complaining about this, maybe we should contact them directly and demand they cease and desist the harassment!

Several calls a day, hang up after 3, 4, of 5 rings, do not leave a message. just keep calling from several area code number 202.

Using my Digitone 10 Call Blocker, I block the entire 202 area code, all toll-free area codes, and about 20 other area codes to avoid scammers, fund-raisers and all other "charities" who don't nothing to their purported causes.  If anyone thinks it's important enough to contact me, they can send a letter.

This number calls at least 2 - 3 times a day never leaves a message and when answered they hang up.

Call msometime twice per day.

American Lung Assn.
I have asked them repeatedly to stop calling.  They call almost every evening, 7 days a week.  Very annoying !

Every night this week, we've gotten a call from the American Lung Association. When I answer, no one is there, and when I try to call the number back it says the call cannot be returned that way. My husband is terminally ill, and I do not appreciate the nightly interruption. I looked this up and read that the company they hired to make their calls keeps half on all donations. So now when you give to charity you're giving to jerks who do this. Sad.

These people called again on Sunday - and finally someone actually answered me when I picked up.  Yes, it's the American Lung Association.  I suspect they're the ones behind all 3 (202) area code numbers that call repeatedly.  I told the woman to take my number off the list and to stop calling me.  Then I hung up.

I went to the ALA website, www.lung.org, and searched (and searched!) until I found the "Contact Us" link. I sent a message, including my phone number, and received an email response that says, "I have forwarded your phone number, for removal, to the vendor making calls on behalf of the American Lung Association.  It may take up to 48 hours for the calls to cease.  We are sincerely sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused."

We'll see if it works!
