I received a call at my place of employment on 05/18/09 and the person had a very heavy accent and as soon as I answered the phone he stated my name, SS#, and checking account number which left me a little confused but as I attempted to question the person he kept interrupting me and advising me that I was about to face jail time due to money laundering, accepting illegal wired funds into my account, and writing bad checks. He stated the companies name was SFI(State Finance Investigators)-202-821-4771 but was unable to understand the name given because of the heavy accent. He stated that I can either go to court regarding the matter and be prosecuted or settle out of court by paying the debt but when I asked how much was the debt(just out of curiousity) he informed me that he would call me back with the $$ owed. I immediately contacted my bank to flag my account and requested monitoring of my credit report. After further investigation I found this website and I am also filing a complaint with my local police department today with all of the information that I have gathered...ALL PLEASE BEWARE OF THESE SCAMMERS!!!!
P.S They are obtaining your information from payday loan applications

I received a very upsetting phone call today as well from this number and the following ones as well: 851-322-8600. This person claimed that i had not paid back a cash advance loan and I was going to court and would be arrested. They said if I go to court I would pay 5200.00 and if I paid them on the spot today I would only pay 776.00. I am still shook up over the entire thing. I have filed a complaint to the FBI and the Secret Service as well. I still cannot believe the lengths people will go to pull off a scam.,

I received a call from this number regarding loans I didn't have. They threatened to sue me, but would not give any information about their company besides being a State Loan Collector, which is untrue. They're listed as Inspired MKG. They also have
