Dangerous calls - stay away. Do not answer, respond or give any information. Tell them you are reporting them to the FBI, and hang up. They talk nonsense about arrest warrant for you and other garbage.

keeps calling from this number and saying they are working for the office of  the IRS and da officer stated his name as justin thomas.

I got a voice mail today (5/52014) telling me that, I made a  federal crime. So call back this # immediately 1-202-864-1185 to Robert William or James Anderson. They want to help me. Otherwise police is coming to arrest me. Almost a year ago similar call came and thretened to arrest me by police. A year goneby, no police came to arrest me. Some body told me that they already have extracted money from weak minded people meeting in Walmart or in RiteAid store. What is going on in the United States? Is this country becoming a heaven to these scam artists? those are scamp

Indian scammers know they will always catch a few stupid people.  The odds are in their favor up to a point.  WHich is why a forum such as this is so important.  Right now  call blocker is your best bet.

Not reallly possible at this time.  They are scammer/extortionists working out of India.  Beyond US jurisdiciton and they are pretty much bullet proof.  And they know it.  Call blocker is your best bet.

Some of them are not in this country and its a attempt to extort and scam money.  Impersonating officers is also illegal.  Not to mention they break all the FDCPA laws.  Owing a debt is not a criminal offense, its a civil matter.  Do some fall for it, yes sadly.

I got also phone message from this phone today. which was look like machine made message with threat. we tried to reach you several times but unable to reach. If you will not call back then legal action will taken against you.
when I tried to call this number ,got outgoing message this phone number is not in service.
I hope some one will take action against this caller whos is threating the people randomley

Some guy called 5/2/14 from the above number said he is officer Jeff Marshell, he said there is a federal complain against me, he is assigned to the case, we need to meet him ASAP or will be arrested. I hung up, called this number back some answered identifying himself as state investigation officer, In the back ground I heard some one asking some one to meet some in Wall mart parking lot. I hung up. some one tried to call back from 202-459-6029.    

This is exactly he said on my answering machine two days ago. Then I tried to call back on that number but number was disconnected.

Message was left. Caller said his name Officer James Anderson with Dept Unit 1 and to call 202-864-1185 that many attempts to contact me and if I don't return the call they would come after me with a warrant and arrest me.
