Complete scam.  If you owed backtaxes, taxes or penalties, the IRS wouldn't call you first - they'd mail you a letter asking you to pay the balance due or set up payment arrangements.

Yes I got this message just now. I called IRS office and of course this is a scam. They gave me number to report this fraud and fax number to describe what happened. And yes very scary stuff when someone tells you that all your accounts will be frozen, anyway here are the numbers, please report those people. They deserve to be in jail.

Just received 2 identical messages from this guy!!  Definitely not answering or returning his phone calls.  Don't fall for this

Same for me.  Eric Foster - unintelligible - call or else!.  Threatened me that i was being recorded and with about every legal action you could think of over a supposed $2,445 that i owed IRS.  When I indicated they were scamming me, was passed to another guy (his superior) whom I also called out - he went silent then said I would get no more calls.

I got a call from a Mr Eric Foster, he said he is from  the IRS  and this was on a recorded line and I am not to share this information with anyone  but the IRS  had found that I have been fraudulent with them from 2009-2012 and in 30 minutes , he will file my case with the court and I would have too pay the government over $25,000 or I can pay him $28,000 to clear all this mess up he also said that the government would cease my passport and deport me  so I put him on hold to call my husband . I went online and checked the phone number and it came up under SCAMMERS . So I told him I contacted the FBI and he informed that the FBI had nothing to with his case and that I was a stupid a** bi*** he had ever talked too . I tried to get the information where the problem was and all he told me was too mail him $28,000 . He had a very heavy indian accent . My husband called out attorney and our attorney informed him that this WAS a SCAM . Again he told me I was stupid for calling the FBI and hung up the phone on me . He called me back a second time from a different number which is (202)864-1784

Got call from this number, 202-864-1728.  Officer Forster, claiming I needed to call him and if not wished me good luck.  Didn't call, googled number.  Knew it was scam.  Wanted to know how many had the call too.  Jokes on him, already was scammed of my ss# .  Police, IRS, and FTC reports filed on stolen ID Theft.  He's SOL with me, no job, no income for over 9 months.

Got the call Agent Foster warning me this was IRS.  Scamming, taking time out of my work day!  Maybe they should get a job.

I just received a call from this scumbag. I answered and I heard a recorded message wishing me good luck if I don't call back. He claimed that he was calling from IRS. SMH. I was so distressed by this call and I decided to Google it. I'm glad I did. I will just ignore it. Thanks everyone for posting.

Got a phone call from this number this a few minutes ago claiming IRS will arrest me for not paying tax. The guy said his name is ER Megan.  Someone needs to do something to stop these trashes!!!

Same message left here.  Same threat. The guy said his name is officer ---- Forster, couldn't understand his first name.  It just so happened that a judge friend of mine was visiting and heard the message also, he said what he could understand sounded like a    scam to him.  Do as the others have done and be safe.

Same message left for me "call back or else good luck". I don't give two s**ts who this guy thinks he is but don't fall for it. If you had any government issues you'd know yourself lmao.

Just do as the other user says. Block it from your phone, let your friends and family know that they could be getting this shady call.

Don't answer the call.

They think a Washington D.C. area code (202) will scare the sh*# out of some people.
1. don't answer it.
2. Just block it from your phone.
3. report it here so others can see the different tactics they using.
4. talk amongst your family and friends to make them aware of it.
This guy must have been so frustrated. He left a threatening message(call or else good luck) and I could feel his vein popping out of his vein!!
note: there should be a type of calls for fraud, threats, etc
