i just got a call from them also and i told him that dont send right because government dont do stuff like that his name was Albene Smith ext 104 but iam glad they gave me the website so called and i ran across this thanks alot cuz it dont sound right

My call was that i got a grant for $8,600!!!! :( these ppl need to be put UNDER THE JAIL!!!!!!!! me bein a single mom w/ 2 minor children i neeeeeed even a fraction of that bs money:( sorry all you other nice ppl are dealing w/ these theives!

I got a scam call and said I was going to report them and they said go ahead cause they were ligit LOL sure!! yes i thought it was a scam. they gve me a no 202 241 7471 n her name is Amber jones and i rcve the money after 2 mnths :)

I recieved a call about the. Grant of 8400 dollars....once i heard i have to pay 215 on a green back money card....forget it. I have to change my account info and phone #. He called from (202)3707637

I just got a call from an Indian guy at 202-666-0837 telling me I was to receive 8400 in US grant money that I would not have to repay back.  He verified where to send it and then told me I had to call Marshall Bruce at 202-370-7637.  Another indian man answered telling me the same thing that I would receive 8400 and would not have to pay it back.  They just needed a 215 processing fee.  That is when I said no thanks and hung up on them.  I called my credit card and cancelled the card.

Yes he is a scam trying to get into my bank account I just called him back and told him dat he were a scam den he talking about stop calling him before he call fbi and he told me at first dat I have to pay 200 to receive my money I know it was a scam he just won't your money and it ain't gone work

I was called by another number and told to call this one to receive $8400 in grants free from the government after i give them my info. I didnt of course instead i looked up the name i was given Marshal Bruce and found multiple people saying he have scammed them. What this man is doing is morally disgusting and i want him stopped  

Caller said they had $8,400 for me and I didn't have to pay them back or pay taxes on it. I was skeptical and found it's a scam. I feel sorry for the people that would believe it.

Close your account and open a new one... watch your credit report too

I received a call like many of you this time from a Marshall Bruce he got upset when i said this was a scam he told me to leave him alone and hung up on me lol

This is a scam. They have been calling me for weeks and I finally answered. I got the same BS line that I was to receive a $7000 grant just for being a good person and not getting arrested or filing for bankruptcy in the last 6 months. I was instructed to call and alternate number 202-738-4323 and provide the Grant ID # to the dispatcher. I was told I could receive my free 7k in the form of pre-paid gift card, direct deposit or cash after paying the $129 application fee. Upon confirmation of the fee being paid, they would then release my funds in full via the manner I selected. She asked me to provide additional information to verify my identity at which point I asked who she worked for and who she represented. I started questioning why the US Federal Department of the Treasury was just giving away money for no good reason. She got overly short with me and kept asking for verification information to process the application. I asked if I could call back after doing some research on this grant and what she was claiming. Oddly, the call was abruptly disconnected at that time. SCAM!!! There is no free lunch let alone a free handout just for being a "good person". NEVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION TO SOME RANDOM CALLER CLAIMING YOU ARE GETTING FREE MONEY!!!!

I got the same call today and I did give them my card number but I don't have anything in bank $0 , they ask me to call the other number and she gives me her name was Rechal Johnson and the other guy that they ask me to call after I hung up with her his name is Marchell Bruce so I didn't call anybody after I surch online and I found that they are scam but why they using government money to give away 8k after 5 min the same girl she calls me and I told her I don't need the money and she hung up what do I have to do since I gived her my account number ?

I received this phone call but once I read that it was a scam I cancelled my bank account card and changed my phone number Thank God. The guys names were Anthony Flat and Marshall Bruce.

They called me today ! These people are so full of it , don't waste your time ! The money sounds great but  did they really think I was going to send them any money ! SCAM

I got a call from an Indian man named Leo Painter (not his real name) saying that he was from the US Treasury and that I am eligible to receive $8400 in free grant money for being a good citizen and doesnt have to be paid back. I was very skeptical. He said he would make sure it was in my bank acct as quickly as 45 min. from now. I just have to verify my info. to prove that I am who I say I am. After doing so he then said all I have to do is call this number above and ask for Marshall Bruce with the confirmation # he gave me and I would receive the $8400 in 45 min. or less. So I called Marshall Bruce (also an indian and not his real name) at the number given here and gave him the info the first guy gave me. Then after waiting 10-15 min. on hold he then told me that I would definitely receive the $8400 but only after I make a small donation of $215 to some sort of childrens charity. I knew there had to be a catch. I tried like everyone else to tell him just to take it out of the money he is going to send me but he of course could not do that. I then got very angry because this guy got my hopes up and I started to yell at him because I knew it was a scam. He then go angry with me for calling him a scam and a hoax and hung up on me.

I thought this was real, but they got me for $700+. I really do have intentions on going back to school. I thought this grant money would help. I work hard for what I have, but my God knows my heart! They cursed themselves playing with those that live life right. Whom ever they believe in is cursed just as they are. I'm still blessed and I'm going to get that 700 back plus ten folds.

I just spent 20 minutes on the phone with this guy asking for 215.00 in exchange for a 8,400.00 grant. All of this for just being a law biding citizen. He asked me to go to a Western Union and send the money to DUBAI, U.A.E.  The loan officers name is Robert Marking and Marshall Bruce. 202-470-0741. After I spoke with Marshall he asked me to call Robert at  202-905-0702. After Reading the blog on this scam, I decided to aware people, not to give any info. He told me to western Union it a SELVAM JAGADEESAN. if you received a phone call like this, just hang up or report it to the proper authorities- I AM...

Everybody call all the numbers they called ppl from and leave the most ghetto, ratchetest message that you can. I bet that will teach them not to f*** with ppl and they money. I have been call this dude Bruce Marshall leaving messages and that s*** is fun as hell!

I receive a phone call for a federal grant for $8,000 and they said I had to western union $215  to Melvin Vernon for an application and tax fee. They ask for your account number and routing number and cv number. Don't give it to them they are scammers..!!!!!

I received a phone call about receiving grant money towards going back to college asking for either my checking account number and routing number or my debit card number.  The first number I was called from was (202)666-8540. I was told that I was eligible for a grant of $8,400 if I paid $215 dollar processing fee I would have the money directly deposited into my account. The name I was told was Marshall Bruce. After looking up the number on the internet which according to the internet search said was a cellular device.  Something too good to be true it seems and the cellular device as oppose to the landline based phone made me suspicious.

PLEASE STOP THESE PEOPLE FROM THESE SCAMS THAT THEY ARE DOING TO PEOPLE. IT IS ASHAME THEY ARE USING THE GOV. NAME TO TAKE POOR PEOPLES MONEY. STOP THEM

I RECEIVED THE SAME PHONE CALL TELLING ME I HAD GRANT MONEY FOR 8400.00 AND I MUST SEND THEM 215.00 FOR TAXES AND FEES I SPOKE TO MARSHAL BRUCE. AND ITOLD HIM TO TAKE THE FEES OUT OF THE MONEY. I DIDNT SEND ANYTHING. SOMETHING HAVE TO BE DONE WITH THESE PEOPLE.
