Was told I had $7000 in grant money waiting to be delivered to me.  
Was asked if I had filed bankruptsy in the past 6 months and if not I qualify..I needed to give him my account information to have the money deposited into my account in 15 minutes.  I told him to mail it. He gave me a confirmation number to give when I dialed 202-559-7936 approval confirmation AU173.  
When I dialed the number it went through ringing like a residential line.  I hung up.

I received a call from this number stating I was one of 1700 people in Texas to receive 7,000.00 since I was a good citizens and paying my bills on time and no criminal record and didn't owe IRS money and could get the money today. So if you get the call from 202 559 7936 it's bull and a scam I spoke with them 3 different time and play along and just haven't got to a western union to pick up my 7,000.00 plus the 5,000.00 two times before the government must really love me !!!

Got a call from this # 2x yesterday and once today. Also received 3 unknown calls yesterday thinking it was them as well....unfortunately they call when I am at work. Bc I would love to actually hear this nonsense so I could have a good laugh!!!

I receieved a call from this number 10 mins ago it automatically sounded like a scam and now this number has called three times so far. So I I looked it up and aparently it is a scam. Thanks feedback

Called and ask for me had such a bad connection could not understand the lady.  Here is an FYI no one needs to closest WU office.  If you wire me money to CA I can get it in NY also in some instances any where even out of the US. Too bad WU will not allow you to put restriction on it. also you never have to put down any kind of fee to get money from WU that has been wired to you!

lol,  got this call today, told him to call back at 530 est.  I will give them hell when they call glad I looked it up.  I am a Computer Engineer I will f them up good.

someone told me that I won $8000  from gov, and they were asking how i prefer to receive that money hahaha,  basically they want my address, bank account, or SSN,  :S

Received calls from this number three times, twice yesterday and once this morning.  I don't pick up the phone, but I have blocked this number.  Can't do anything right now, since the FTC is out of commission due to the government shutdown.

I have been receiving calls from some the numbers posted on here and all had Asian and Middle Eastern accents. They claim the Federal Government award Grants to those who maintain their bills, have no criminal record and have not file for bankruptcy in the last 6 months. The guy said there is a grant of $8,400.00 and he just needed a bank account number, debit card number or a gift card number...OR (check this out) Western union wire transfer but I need to pay a fee of $220.00....So I let him finish his scam pitch then I told him.."When the f*** does the Federal Government Western Union Cash and on top of that our government are on a shutdown, so how about you take down the serial number to my gun that I will use on you if you call back again." and that concluded the call. Have not got a call back since.

Called like three times because I kept tell her I wasn't interested...she said you sure u don't want this $7000.00 free grant money,I asked how was I selected..one of her replies was because I didn't have a criminal...(she almost convinced me...smiles)so I suggested she take another cup of that sauce or offer me one because she lunching....kept asking for my address..I ask where she was at and I would come there that's when the tounge got tied up....I'm sure you all know the rest....she hung up......SCAM. They have been calling me almost daily for several months. I never pick up the phone unless I know who is calling, and they never leave a msg. The number does not accept incoming calls (when I called back, to see who was calling so often). I just added them to my "REJECT CALL" list so I won't be bothered by them any more!

This number calls me CONSTANTLY! No one answers when I do answer. They hang up.
If I don't answer, they don't leave a message?

I got the call this morning. I knew it was a scam, so I messed with his head asking him personal questions. The idiot actually answered my questions! I started laughing, and I told him I knew he was a criminal trying to steal money from me, but I really wanted him to have a nice day! Then I hung up on him. If one of them calls me again, I'm going to ask them for their opinion of the new song I just wrote. I'm going to sing Jesus Loves Me like I'm Whitney Houston! Believe me, I can't carry a tune in a bucket! I'm going to use my iPad to record it and put it on YouTube!

I received a call from this number but since I did not recognize it I did not answer. Came on here to investigate before calling back and when I did it said my call could not be completed as dialed....go figure.

I got a call from this # 3x today, so on the 3rd time I answered it on speaker phone with my cell phone recording (just in case) . I didn't initially say anything so the guy on the other end must have thought it was just another dead end. I could hear him talking with an extreme Indian accent. I think I made him wet himself when I let loose the airhorn can that I had on the counter from the previous weekends football game.

The person called, first words out of his mouth were I am calling from the US, and something mens warehouse, I couldn't understand, is that okay.I said what and who, they repeated themselves still couldn't understand, stated no it is not okay goodbye. The guy sounded Asian couldn't understand him at all. Tried to call it back and got a recording stating number doesn't work. Sick of this.

I am receiving a call from this # daily. No vm msgs left & no response when I answer. It is making me uncomfortable! Call back & it states invalid #. Scam? Solicitors? How do I stop It?

This is a scam. I receive this call, same number, same offer and for same grant. I applied for a grant, they are hard to get, a lot of red tape and it takes a long time to receive a grant, if a grant will be issued. It is hard to reach someone at a government grant office by phone and they will hardly return a call, they are not going to call someone to hand a grant to and GRANTS ARE NOT GIVEN OUT LIKE IT'S A LOTTERY CONTEST.

First someone called me and it said The Hyate or Hiate Washington ( which is a hotel) and said they were from the federal government and that a survey was done in my area last year and that I had been chosen to receive a free federal grant in the amount of $7,500.00 because I have paid my bills on time, never filed bankruptcy and don't have a criminal record. I knew it was a scam when they said that because I can never seem to pay my bills on time and I do have a criminal record. Anyway I called the number on the caller I.D back and a desk clerk at the Hyate Hotel answered and said that their number had been compromised and that indeed it was a scam and forwarded me to a recording that gave me their criminal case I.D number and a number I could call to report what had happened. The next day I got a call and the caller I.D said District of Columbia 202-987-6543 this time the lady sounded brittish and said her name was Mrs. Thompson and gave me the same spill and asked how I wanted my money, western union, check or deposited into my account. I went along with it careful not to give her any account or credit card info and said I wanted it wired to me. She asked where the closest western union was and I told her Food Lion right down the street, she said the money would be there within 30 minutes and all I had to do was go there, give my name, show ID and call her when I was there, the number she gave me to call her back was 202-559-7936 but the catch is that she assured me that if I paid a deposit of $310.00 for the wire that I would receive the $7,500.00 plus my $310.00 dollars back within 10 minutes. Yea right, could you imagine standing at the grocery store looking like a complete fool. If they call back again I am really going to mess with their head this time..

this number has called my unlisted, telemarketer blocked cell phone on more then one occasion. I do not answer but they do not leave a message. If you try to call it back a recording states that the number
you have called is invalid?  Anyone know who this is?
