Got a call from this number on my cell phone - no message.

The same thing JUST happened to me. I aske which card they were calling about and they lady with an accent hung up.

If you're not registered with the National Do Not Call Registry, consider registering. Then you can file a complaint like I just did.

just got a call from this number offering lower interest on credit cards, when I asked what credit card company he kept evading the answer .  I asked three times, he finally said a bank that would consolidate.  I hung up call.  caller never gave a name of a bank or company.

Just got a call on my cell.  Same thing as all of you.  Just hung up.  How do they get our number?

I feel violated.  They only offered me 6.9% in the voicemail.

Obvious phishing scam.

Same as everyone else has said, phishing scam, offering "lower interest rate". I hung up, but I'm sure they would have asked for account information. NEVER GIVE THAT OUT. Even if I thought it was actually my credit card company, I would have hung up and called back to the number on the back of my credit card, always safer.

I answered the phone and a recording was offering to lower my interest rates. To press 1 to speak with a live person. A woman came on the line and I said "you have reached my number in error I do not have any credit cards."  She then hung up on me and when you try to call it back you just get a busy signal. They are a scam trying to get you to give them your information.

SOLICITATION CALL

Just received a call. Obv call center front, wanted to offer me credit rates as low as 6.8%

When I insisted on which of my current creditors they were calling for they hung up.

"To accept this call, press 1.  To leave a voicemail, press 2.  Okay, I've left a voicemail.  Goodbye."

Never touched a button, never said a word.

-  they  are   also  impersonating  DEA  officials  /  IRS  /  FAKE  LAW  FIRMS   etc....  with  threats  to  arrest you  unless  you  immediately  send money  via  wire   transfer /  western  union   to some   offshore  country  !!!!!   obvious  scam  !!!

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign call centers  /  countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers mostly  in   INDIA /  THAILAND / AFRICA  /  JAMAICA  ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  fake  emails and  scams  after  posting  something  on   craigslist   (  old  scam  )  ...... collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  calling  on  behalf  of  a  humane  society..... $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you / give ....just  provide  your  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

several  of  these are  the  usual   long  ongoing  scams   such  as  :  you  have  won a  free  walmart /  bestbuy  gift  card....or  you  have  won a  free  ipad  etc......all  long  ongoing  scams............
