They called today 4/5/13. @3. Hung up when I answered. I called back around 5:30. They told me I recently filled out an app for work & they were following up. I have filled out apps so I said ok. Once they asked me for my DOB, I stopped him, I figured shouldn't he have this info in front of him? I asked him who did I apply to...he hung up on me.

Similar to other reports:  phone rings; no sound when I answer.

A call, no sound, but I looked it up and saw that others report it as a nuisance advertiser of some sort.

I received a call from (203) 212-9964 which is a VoIP number from Bridgeport Connecticut.  this number is for WN Positions job placement service which seems to be a national SCAM.  They will claim that you started a application online for some type of employment.

No answer then a weird noise and hang up.

Just received a missed call on my cell.  Only people that know my cell are close friends and family. How did they get my number?

Got a call from this number a little while ago. I did not answer. They left no message. If it was someone I know and the call was important, they would have left a message. So plugged in the number and got a few complaint sites like this one. In spite of Do Not Call lists, these morons are buying or stealing phone numbers. If they call back, I will answer and let the caller know where in CT they are calling from and chew them a new one. Probably won't do any good....

I've had this number call my cell phone a few times. finally added it to a spam folder that gets sent right to voicemail! So annoying.

Received a call and the caller informed me they were from WN Positions and that in replying to a survey recently I had asked for information on Job Opportunities.  I haven't filled out any surveys and I have a full time job.  As soon as I said this the person hung up.  When I tried to do a Reverse Look-Up on the number nothing came up -- definitely a SCAM.

Called about a bogus online survey I filled (I didn't) and blah blah blah about helping me find a job (very happy where I'm at, thank you). Confronted him with the fact I have good memory and didn't fill up no survey to which he proceeded to say "All you have to do is ..." to which I responded "All YOU have to do is take my cell phone number off your calling list". Click, hung up on him.

it's just sequence calling. some nonsense about me answering a survey. caller said he can match me with jobs. was in a playful mode so gave him bogus info all the way. then he tried to sell me college financial aid multiple times and by then i was tired of playing so told him no and off he went to scam another soul.

missed the call called back and said WN job placement service automated. said i requested information about their job placement service which i never did. put your number on their DO NOT CALL LIST. Does it really? Or does it put your number in a pool for other telemarketing scams????

Got a call at 6:32pm EDT 3/26/13.  Call did not connect immediately, and call dropped.  I called back, it is a staffing company that thinks I expressed interest in their services online. As far as I can recall, I did no such thing.

Just received a call from this number but no response.  Who sold these phone numbers?  Does anyone know?  I try not to do any business with the phone but was forced to call CL &P just recently.  Do they sell numbers?

seems like an identity phishing scam... they claim you recently filled out a job survey or something similar and then try to get more personal information from you

after asking repeatedly what company they are, where theyre from, what website theyre referring to they hung up.

Received a call, computer sounding responses. Something about job opportunities due to an online survey I had filled out. They said something about it's never too late to go back to school, and I said I was in school currently. They said, I'm sorry, and hung up.

I applied for a job yesterday and was worried I missed the call - but they left no message and there wasn't a caller id listed.  Now I know there is no need to worry. I'm so glad this website is here about these scams - thanks to everyone who contributes!

They called me too this am although I currently  live in CA!  They hung up on me.

Called my stepfather today and told him he signed up for job opportunities. He's 70 years old and retired!

Just got the call 3 times already.hung up on me as I got POed enough to finally answer WTF!!

I also received a call on my cell.  I was driving, and couldn't answer but returned the call later.  WN placement service.  They said I signed up to receive information.  I told them I didn't recall doing that.  The moved on.  They said in order to be certain that I qualified for one of their positions, they needed some information.  They then asked for my name.  I didn't feel comfortable giving information over the phone to someone I don't even remember contacting so I said I think this needs to be done over the internet and hung up.

It sounds like a Identity "phishing" scam to me.

They called but left no message. I usually do not answer calls I do not know. Redialed the number and went directly to an automated system that was muffled. It said I reached WN Positions. I am not looking for work.

Just got a call from this number...didn't answer and they didn't leave a msg. Then got a weird text right after saying "hey. The website. I told you about is gifdate.com."

Not sure if the call and text are related or not, but just weird ....

same as all the above, they must have gooton a complete of cell numbers, shut these a***oles down , lock them up and throw away the key

I have actually applied for help getting a job so I thought this was them trying to contact me, but it was a different company. As soon as I said I was confused, they hung up. Glad I looked this up before I called back or got worried I lost my opportunity!

If I can positively ID this outfit, they are going to be in a lot of hot water. They leave messages that are gibberish.
