three calls today in quick succession, no messages left, no idea what was wanted.

Called me a couple of times and I answered this time. She asked if I was some asphalt or concrete company. I said she had the wrong number and she replied, "is this a business number? Is this a private number?"

Okay now I've been annoyed by these people for years wanting to sell one thing or another to my 'business' (like google top placement or stationery).

These are cold calls to get you to buy something you don't need or want or which you could get for cheaper and no criminal scam. They are huge time wasters for small businesses.
