This number was from Skype who sent me a 3 digit verification code because I was having trouble signing into my Skype account.

I also got a phone call from that number but in my case it was a recorder asking to input verification code I received earlier by sms.  I'm sure it's a scam, but I can't figer out what is the point or how the scammers would get any money aut of it

I JUST finished getting off of the chat with "Peter Smith" and had to google this because it seemed like a scam. Then I read this! How do you report this?

So this idiot peter smith "interviewed me " . I knew there was something not right but i really need the money so i just ignored my gut feeling . "The check" is supposbly coming in today so i decide to google his name and i find this .
I need to know whats the worst that can happen to me by giving him my adress and phone . Please help!!

Hey I just got someone who said they were a Peter Smith and claimed he worked for Abacus Ltd...

I was emailed and told to download yahoo messenger by a guy calling himself "Christopher Morman" I was told to do the phone verification, which I didnt feel comfortable doing. After asking Mr. Morman why I would have to verify my phone number for a receptionist job, he could not give me an answer which satisfied me. I became alarmed when I expressed to him that I was a bit leery about this IM interview. I asked when I would be able to meet with someone face to face and he said in a month when I began training. At this point in the interview I still didnt know what company this was, so I asked him. He gave me a link to some bullsh*t site which stated that they sell music equipment on ebay and their headquarters was in Houston Texas. Well I currently reside in Ohio, and Im relocating to Las Vegas. It was all very strange and I could sense a scam immediately.

I just few for this I thought it was wierd to start with but I havent interviewed in 8 years.  After the yahoo online conversation I looked up the company and didn't find anything of it being local when he was ending the call I asked him if I would be talking to someone.  I am so annoyed.  Of course afterwards I sent him a email asking him to send me his company website and telephone number and he has not responded.  So then I looked up his name and this thread came up.  He must have been the one that called Sunday but I didnt pick up the call, didnt recognize the number.  I was trying to contact indeed for their number and theres a whole thread there too about him! Why would they not shut it down?!!

I just got scammed by the same company!!!! I followed through with the IM interview and when he said he would send a money-gram I told him this would not be the job for me! End of conversation.  I thought this was fishy from the start and I should of followed my gut feeling and never answered any questions!!!!!

I applied for administration assistant/data entry clerk was given a instant message interview.  And asked to receive a phone call to verify my phone number. When I did research on company the name of company is spelled wrong and the address was not to a business.  

The following job ad from Craigslist is a SCAM!  This guy sends me an email (PETER SMITH) and tells me to install Yahoo! Messenger for an "online interview".  His questions seemed legit at first, then he starts talking about "we're going to send you a money-gram, which you'll use to buy office supplies etc etc" and starts asking for personal information.  

His fake name is "Peter Smith".  Two people have already posted about this.  DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.  This guy is an idiot thinking he can take advantage of educated people, hoping we won't ask too many questions, and will just accept the job online?  Without meeting employees or filling out any paperwork first?  

He might also say their office is being "completed" and that they just moved here from the UK etc etc.  Gave me a totally bogus website when I asked for the company website.  The company he described was totally different from what he described in the IM.

This is a scam posing as proctor & gamble co.  Its money laundering. I got scamed and they are very persistent in constantly calling.

I just received a call also from the same number. It was from a job that I applied to also. The company was Blue star InfoTech. I think this is all a scam. Indeed.com really needs to investigate this.

I applied for a job on Indeed.com. This person called me13 times asking to verify this number. Kept telling me to put a verification code in. Then it text me from 740 300 0086 with a new code! I think Indeed needs to be careful who they put on their website!

this is an auto call from indeed.com to verify your indeed account.  Sounds like someone accidentally put your number in when trying to verify their own account.

I want to know why my phone number was verified using this number.  When called the operator asked for a number to verify my phone number as if i entered information in.  Right when this was going on I got an email telling me to enter the number 51.  It then said my phone number had been verified and i want to know what company this is
