Yeah i got a call from the same idiot about a month ago didn't send no money nor did i have an attorney contact them and i haven't seen no officer arrest me so its bs

Got a call on 6/29/2013. This phone number has scam written all over it.  Got a phone call at 8:30 am cst, which would have been 6:30am from a California number. Person wouldn't represent themselves or anything, but saying they worked for a "major law office" that had three pending lawsuits in my name that I had to take care of.

First off, a law office isn't going to call you to tell you, you have a pending suit. They are going to take action.

Second, at 6:30am on a Saturday morning.

Third, you can call the number back and it goes straight to a voicemail. I don't know, but common sense most professional attorneys a professional greeting or answer service to take the phone call when you call back the number. Oh and it's a VOIP number as well.

Also isn't it illegal to represent yourself as a attorney as well?

Same person callede everyday for the past week saying everything you guys just said. Sao he was going to kill me and and started cursing me off. Also said the whereof department was going to come to my work and arrest me and to get an attorney. I'm definitely changing my number

I have received two calls from this number and i cant undersyand wjat they are saying ing the voicemail they are leaving and i dont have a clue as to why they are calling me in the first place. I would like to know who it is and the reason for their calls.

I got the same thing except he  said he was from homeland security!  Wow I'm glad you guys made this post!! Thank you This guy called me at 7am which was 4a his time in California. No legitimate business operates at this time on the phone Wow!

I just got the same call. But they called my job. What is this about?

A***ole just called me saying he was an attorney & legal action was being taken against me. Am I aware of this action I said yeah (knowing it was some b***s***) he said oh u are, yes I am any more questions?he said u need to pay or ur going to jail tmmrw morning. I said ok come pick me up after my kids leave for school....lol. He hung up on me. I called back 2 curse his a** out but he keep hanging up. Find another fool to play with a***oles!!

I received calls from this number too. I am concerned because I am reading where they may have my ss# ???
How did they get my phone number is what I am curious about and what else do they have.  Do I need to start protecting my credit now??  I do know owe this company anything so not sure why they even call me.

Got a call from this same number today with the same message.  Not sure how they got my number but they better not touch my bank account.

Got a call about haveing a lawsuit and place of emplyment was told to call supervisior Ronnie Cooper at 916-287-3815 Ext 2020.

I just received a call from the this guy as he's been calling my number and job.  I finally called him back and He said he was with the Legal Department of the U.S. Government and did I know I had a case against me.  And to find out more information I had to call a Ronnie Cooper on the same number that he called me on.  I waited a few days and called him and spoke to him.  He said I owe him over $515 dollars from a $300 loan i got before but he couldn't tell me the date and year or time. He then told me to rush out to a CVS and make a cash payment to him immediately and no cops will come to my job and arrest me. The number that was calling me and I called was 916-287-3815.  I told him that I would go make a $100 payment and he said to make that payment but call him first at  his direct number at 213-289-3789 so he can walk me through the payment.  I then called him back and said I have contacted a lawyer to look into him since I don't know who he is...he started calling me all sorts of curse names and threatening me.

I been receiving calls from these same people with that hindu voice. they said i owed some money and i should send money from cvs or walgreens. To top that off , he told me to drive to to the bank with my speaker phone on so he could hear it and then drive to cvs andhe would give me instructions from there. wht am i: a secret agent. His name is Daniel . He keeps calling my job 8-10 times.Please find these people and put a stop to this  madness

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

This indian man threatened to have sherriffs office to come to my house that I had committed fraud and had a warrant for my arrest and I would be arrested and served with a subpoena paintoday because I did not commit this fraud and I'm afraid they will knock on my doorhow do I stop them from harassing me they call me at least five to ten times a day

I just had a gentleman call stating that he was jack Smith with the Federal Legislation Office, and that I had charges pending.  Everytime I asked him what the name of the company was that was pressing charges, he would only say, "I already told you".  then he got so flustered that he said I was calling him, and when I said, that no, you called me he got even more flustered.  When I told him I needed this information to turn into the FBI, he just said that he would call back and hung up.  

What a scammer!!!!

OK so let me explain how to combat these sort of scams...

When they call you from their number right it down, also prob a little bit for another number to reach them at and SOUND LIKE YOUR SOLD so they are more open. Once you have the numbers you go to backpage.com or another escort site and place an escort ad (or many ads) with their number as the contact number.. They will have so many inbound calls (10-20 every 15 minutes) that they wont be able to use the phone numbers to run their scam... Breaking their system is the only way to make them stop.. If everyone, or alot of people use this method to combat them the scam will eventually die because the amount of work they have to do outweighs the reward...

How do I know?... Lets just say I live a very legit life, now. ;)

I got a call from this number but it worries me about how much information they have

Received a call this morning from this number when he started to talk I just hung up on him. Bought a new vehicle last week and these scammers started to call.on monday. I have a blocked list of over 200. They call their dropped. Ha Ha.

I just received that scam call, with intimidation terms.  it was an Asian accent asked to call back to someone Alex.  Thanks for this reports, this page, now  I know I don't have to be worried

Good for you Lindsey ! These people need to held accountable for their threats and the continuous harassment with the non-stop phone calls. Keep all your Bank Statements, I do and none show any type of deposit. These people deal in Fraud and Financial Scams. Good Luck it sounds like you called their bluff.

Just received a call from 916-287-3815. The caller had an indian accent and it sounded pre-recorded. I'm suppose to call an atty at 818-337-1293 and ask to speak to carl hooper. Something to do with Financial Crime Investigation or I will be arrested. WTH ! These people are a pain and it's annoying having them call nonstop from 7am until late in the evening. I inquired about a pay day loan but never accepted, received or electronically signed for any amount. Their interest rates are 300%  and higher 700-800%. This is crazy. All the calls I have received are from people with an indian accent. Some have been very rude. I text the last caller and told them that I had contacted the Police, FCC and the ATTY -General. This seems to have helped, the phone hasn't rung in over an hour. I need to check my account because with the information they have they can open bogus accts with Liberty Card Company and slowly drain your account. These people are Evil !

Received a call at work from someone unnamed asking if I had a lawyer present. Said there were "3 lawsuits filed against me" and that I needed to call the number back and ask from "Ronny Cooper". When I called the number back (I can't understand the name of the business they are supposed to be operating as, but it's "Federal" something) I was trasferred to Mr. Cooper who read me the "affidavit" and said that I could make a payment of $505 to rectify the situation or else the sheriff would be at my work tomorrow to arrest me. I asked who the company was that supposedly deposited and he said "Cash Advance USA". I told him that the company name did not sound familiar and asked what the original deposit amount was... he told me $300 but they added a return fees and other fees. I asked what the date was the the original deposit was made and he said "That's not important"... I told him that if I was going to "be arrested" for not paying a loan, it would be easy and necessary to know when the original loan was issued... he got very frustrated with my questions and then said that if I didn't want to pay "the sheriff and FBI" would be at my work tomorrow to arrest me. I told him that the FBI doesn't concern themselves with this kind of stuff and let him know that they DO concern themselves with interstate fraud... told him that I had his fake name and phone number and I would be contacting the police with his information so we could both have a sit down... then he hung up.

This number call me and they said ?the same thing about a case on me and I have no idea about what he talking about

Received a call from this number; they left a voicemail saying if I do not return the call something bad will happen to me. I was freaked out until I looked this number up online! Please go and report it so we can get these jerks once and for all! Scam artists are the worst kind of people!
