Said hello twice and received no answer so I hung up on them.

received call from "Diane" from whatever energy company stating she can lower  my electric bill . Quickly she  started  to verify my address.  I told her we were all set with our electric  rates but she tried to talk really  fast to get me to give her more info.   I told her to put us on their Do Not Call List   but she wouldn't stop talking.  I hung up on her.  She thought she could out-talk me but she found out differently.

Called my house and cell phone in one day. Dead air when I answered and I heard them finally hang up.

August 26, 2010:  Got 3 calls from 203-648-9800, twice on 08-25-10 (20 min apart), and once on 08-26-10 at approx 11:30 am.  The first two calls I answered; were dead air.  The call today must have gone to my voice mail.  NO MESSAGE.

Got a call from this number... offering a discount on my electric bill. I hang up.

Calls at random times over past few months. One halting message of a few words from what sounded like a kid or imbecile.

They call all the time. I finally answered and there was no one there.

this is a kid. he forgot to hang up and left my message machine recording him. mom was yelling in the background.

Calls approximately every afternoon, every half hour or so
for about 5 times a day

These people called me 7 times in half an hour refusing to listen to the fact that I simply didn't want their services; their response was that this was a FREE service; when I became Irate at the incessant calling, the sorry excuse for a representative simply would not listen to a word I had to say;  If this is how you treat people, what help could you provide?

The number called the house phone and left a message that sounded like a southern person pocket dialing me, and they seemed to be talking about money of some sort. I went to listen to the message again about 2 hours later and it wasn't there anymore...?

To be honest with i wasnt sure what the number was then realized my parents were telling me about it. It was on the news and it is true. They do lower your rate and it is not a scam. I know several people who have done it and have had no problems. They first verified with CL&P and they said it is not a scam also. All it is is different suppliers to help save money for you. you save roughly $10 a month on the ridiculious $30 a month delivery charge.

I have no idea how many times they have called, but I only answered once and they started talking about my electric bill (??) -_-". . . maybe they will get the idea. . . hmm. . . I should change the language on my answering machine. . . DUDE!! SOMEONE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!!

This number keeps calling for the last two days, sometimes they hang up before i even pick up, other times nobody is there. Its annoying just try to ignore it, got a similar call saying i won a free trip to Florida all i have to do is give a credit card number (come on dude you kidding me).

After getting many hangups I finally heard someone and they said they could reduce my electric bill by the kilowatt. Anyway, I finally convinced them I'm all set.... But the hangups still keep happening...  Very annoying...

Called claiming to be an alternate energy supplier and that I was going to see lower prices on my bill.  First they said it was already started, then asked for my next meter reading date.  I asked what they would need it for, they said it was so they would know when to apply the discount.  Are you f'ing kidding me?  Look, if you already set up my "discount", then you already have access to my information, dumb a**.

THEN they say that I have to verify my "agreement" with them.  I asked about the lack of information on the caller ID, they gave me some bogus line and insisted that it was real (even though they failed to turn off the tv in the background.  Some business, huh?)

I asked, if this is set up through my CL&P account, why can't they send me the request with my bill?

They hung up on me.

It was either a telemarketer or they were phishing.  I do NOT recommend giving them *any* information.
