Got the same call around the same time.  I was kind of wishing it was true as I was looking out my window at 3 feet of snow!! :)

Have received 2 phone calls from this number in recent days, a message is never left.  Annoying!

Credit card scam. Fake Caller ID. If you give your credit card number to these crooks you deserve to be robbed.

Call offering trip in Florida. I did not listen to message as I hung up on them. Canned message? If I have used OptOut why am I still getting these calls?

Called saying I won a 14 day vacation and to press 1.  I just hung up.

The automated message after I answered asked me to plush 9 if I wanted my interest rate lowered, that my window of opportunity, or some such thing, is closing soon.

I pressed 9 and they hung up after I told them I was on the do not call list.

Got this call at 9:15 PM. I get my kids to bed at 9! I hate them!

I get this same call at least once a day for the past week.  The million dollare question is...how do I get them to STOP!!!

Received numerous calls over a three day period with an automated message.  Instead of hanging up the last time I stayed on the line.  Lady named "Julie" with "Cardmember Services" (lady had an American/NY Smoker Voice accent) picked up and I soon as I began to ask questions, she hung up.  I looked up the number in several reverse number look-up services and it shows the number registered as a "Cellular Telephone" out of N.Y., New York.

Today, December 15, 2010 at 1:30 Arizona time, mI received a call from this guy about lowering my credit card interest rates.  Because I have recently been burn with a loan remodification, I asked some questions about his company.  He said it was named "Account Services" and it was located on Orlando, Florida.  He stated they had been in business for 12 years.  Then I asaked the nem of the president of the company.  He stated it was Rich, but then the phone disconnected.  I have checked the internet.  There is no such company.  The phone 646-734-0567 is a cell phone locatrd in New York, around Harlem River Road and Insterstate 465.  BEWARE!!  THIS MAN IS CLEARLY A SCAM ARTIST!!

If you receive a call from this phone number, change all passwords on all of your online accounts (credit cards, checking/savings account, Facebook, etc). I just had a problem with identity theft and was told that this is clue #1 that someone has your card # or account #.

Came up NY, USA call. I let it ring, they left no VM.

Just got a call from this number.  Lady said she was going to lower the interest rates on my credit cards.  She became a little nasty when I tried to tell her I was a bit uncomfortable giving out credit card #s over the phone; she got more defensive as I asked more questions.  Then she got her floor manager on the  phone.  I asked where they were located, and she said Flordai.  I told her to send information, as I was NOT going to give out any personal info over the phone.  She then said they do NOT mail out any info.  And then hung up.  Hopefully, they NEVER call again.

I hung up the moment I heard the recorded female voice going "Congratulations" and subsequently reported the call to the Canadian government's Do Not Call Registry. Seeing as the number is a Manhattan area code, I doubt they'll be able to do anything about it. In answer to Robin's question above, the only way these scams will stop will be if people stop falling for them. 10 years ago I had more sympathy for victims because fewer people knew the tricks. These days I have no sympathy for people who fall for the tricks, and frankly I think those who call them back are taking a huge risk. I'd just report them to the US equivalent of Phonebusters.

Had a kid sleeping.  Thank god I turn the ringer off in the one room and just have caller ID plugged in.  This was back to back calls at 1:54pm and 1:55pm.  Full rings each time.  They called around 10pm the other night and scared me half to death.  I will do as the one post suggested and keep these fools on the line and continue using fake names and cc numbers.  I can be pretty convincing at times.  Or do what my nephew came up with say "McDonald's drive thru how may I help you?"

Just started receiving calls today.  Caller ID indicated it was a cell phone from NY.  I let it ring till the machine took it and just before it kicked it, it disconnected.  This happens quite a bit from various low lifes out there.

I have been getting calls from the same organization but always a different number for many years.  I am almost sure they want personal information about you, Phishing scam and identity theft.  They are located in the Caribbean outside the law.  

Lately I have been giving the caller obscene responses and now they connect me to a recording about some type of gay photos or prostitutes.

Yep, I just got the same message...so I pressed 1 and a live person came on...I sat there in silence, not responding to him...hehehe, wonder how he liked it!! =-)

I got a call from this number about lowering my rates on a credit card that I don`t have. When I told him I need to know if the was a card out there in my name I didn`t know about , he said I was peranoid. When I got upset he said I was a screamer but that was okay with him because I sounded sexy. When I put my husband on the phone with him he told my husband that he just wanted to talk to me bcause he thought I was flirting with him.

Same Rachel about lowering cc rates. Caller id showed New York, NY. I don't wait for the whole message if it is a recording.
