same here. cablevision for a visit to install cable tomorrow

Called and left no message.  I had an appointment yesterday with Cablevision/Optimum where they replaced a cable box.  Don't know why they called.

I was wrong. This time Optimum did show up on Caller ID. I had been checking my Optimum records and didn't recognize the Bridgeport, CT phone #.
They called 3 times. We were out of town and assumed it was a Spam caller because they left no messages after 3 calls. They did a service call the day before. They were 3.5 hours late. Several issues were fixed. Some still an issue.

It's Optimum. Why don't they reveal their name on Caller ID? A message would be nice too. Most times they just hang up. When they do leave a message their robot starts leaving the message before my voicemail is finished. I get a 2 second message.  We have had many issues with Optimum and they have called from various #'s, none which reveals their identity. They claim that's not the case. Nonsense!

I told them (Optimum) not to call me again. The guy said ok, yet they still call me.

I am expecting Cablevision to come tomorrow (2/23/2013) and I just received a cal (that I didn't answer) from 203-870-2570.  There was no message left and when I called the number it never connected at all.

Inappropriate?  Optimum folks do not know the meaning of the word.  They also do not understand what No Trespassing, or No Soliciting signs on my front gate mean at 8:30 P.M on a Monday night.  I would change service providers  if there were a comparable service in my area.  Good luck to you all.

Well, I did just have internet installed by Optimum, but am puzzled as to why they would do a follow up on Christmas. Seems a little inappropriate.

Optimum survey or appointment reminder.... annoying.  Only company I can go through because there is no other company in my area... thinking about changing my number and NOT giving it to them because of the calls between 7 a.m. and midnight.

Answered the call with 2 hellos, no one respond. So, I hung up! I know, I ordered cable on Oct. 2, 2012. Then, decided 2 downgrade the package on Oct. 3, 2012. 2 days before they come here & install. I just called, it said Cablevision! That's the Customer Service Number. FU to the Rep who called & didn't say a word!

Unfortunately, I have Optimum cable in Durango, CO.  Because of where I live there is no other choice. I do not like this corporation.  I allege them to be greedy, corrupt, and an incompetent nickel and dime company.  Last summer, Optimum's faulty equipment grounds blew out two (2) of my computers and Optimum would not take responsibility. I have cut my service with Optimum to the bare minimum because they proposed a near 50% rate increase. Did I mention I do not like this corporation? Optimum's accounting division is among the worst I have ever seen, and since cutting service I continue to have been over-billed the past two (2) months (as are my neighbors). Optimum continues to call me night and day.  I recognize their number and have NEVER answered. I have no desire to listen to corporate lies and excuses... GO AWAY... ?$

I agree, i wanted to switch but nothing in my area as well. I dislike verizon but i was trying to switch to them within have my service all of 2 days.

Tell the auto robot computer that I've already taken care of my appointment.

they called me today, didn't pickup on my cell since I didn't recognize the number.  Have not had any recent contact with Bresnan...now owned by Optimum.  Don't know why they called.  Can't stand the arrogant guy in their commercials though.

I've been getting messages on my cell phone from this number for a couple of days, but the message is just beeping, no voice. Now that I know it's Optimum/Cablevision, I'll just call them & find out why they have some kind of automatic dialer that leaves beeping messages!

We have received 2 messages so far saying that cablevision is confirming our appointment.  they are calling our daughter's cell phone.  she is a college student. tried to call back the number and it is cablevision but it doesnt let us leave a message.  we are not even in connecticut.  looked up a ct cablevision number and called this morining in an attempt to get them to stop calling and the rep said the number i gave her belongs to a cablevison customer who is no longer a customer. was put on hold while she tried to talk to another department to have them stop calling, but she said they probably cant do anything about it. a***oles.
