bank of montreal ------ mastercard can be replaced.....i suggest you phone BMO and tell them to take you call call lists.....see how they react.

interesting their people did not know of any research beginning done by PRG.

PRG customer solutions who performs marketing and marketing research on behalf of their clients. I just happen to have a BMO MC and was why they were calling. If you have a pre-existing fiduciary relationship with a company, the DNC list doesn't apply...I did myself a favour and asked to be removed from their internal list which they were more than happy to do.

Are you representing BMO when you make this suggestion?

I have been receiving calls and finally answered last night.
Phoned back and they said TRG solutions and I could take my name off list.
Did not give any personal info but still annoyed as they asked was I aware that a loan app had been made in my name and I said yes as I made one recently.
Then I remembered app had been cancelled.
Lost part of a night's sleep.
Did you contact RCMP?
I am still awaiting answers from BMO.
They have not yet answered my direct question about this co but said they were investigating the loan app question.
Totally annoed as I only want honest answer to my question.

204 272 9447 and 204 8001011 sounds like both are fake! I will report both the number to RCMP pretty soon. I went to Clear Lake in Menitoba for vacation last year and spend everything with my credit cards. After the vacation I start receiving call from 204 800 1011 behalf of TD and now 204 272 9447 behalf of BMO. Call you in a rush time and ask for Name & Date of Birth as a security question. Sometime call and hang up to see if you receive the call or busy by other noise around you. When we are busy we make mistakes. I will do a few research on all the placed I have spend money.  Very few places I'd spend TD and BMO Cards.

Received a call from this number Friday Feb 3d in the early evening and they claimed to be representing the Bank of Montreal. Thought it rather fishy seeing the call display showed a local call. When I informed them that I wouldn't give out any information over the phone and asked them where they were calling from ...the lady (sounding like a Filipino or ??) said "I'm calling from another country and sorry for bothering you. I won't call again". Tried to contact the Canadian fraud agency but conveniently they are closed until Monday during regular business hours. Coincidence...I think not.

Does it matter if they have an automated answering system?! Point being they are telemarketers annoying people in their home - calling at all hours. Point being they should not be allowed to do so in the first place. Ever heard of harassement? Would it be nice if someone poked you in the ribs until you talked to them, or bought what ever they wanted you to buy?

Just an update, I called this number and they have an automated menu system to remove yourself from their calling registry.

I'm surprised that nobody who complains about this number has tried calling it back?

Claimed to be calling on behalf of BMO and offered some sort of comprehensive home insurance policy. "If your house has an electrical problem, or a problem with your air conditioner, anything, we will provide you with either an approved contractor or an allowance to hire your own contractor."

Lady ran through a breathless script about wanting to mail me additional info. I emphatically declined and she was polite. No idea if this is a scam or not, but either way I'm not interested.

Same thing for me - calls and hangs up for over the last month.  I've called and asked to be removed now.  Did this work for you?

They claim to be with BMO but every I ask them to send the info to me, they hang up.

The company that called is TRG Customer Solutions.  If you call the number back they give you an option to remove your number from their database.
