Stop calling me you assclowns!

Gosh C t Maher promo,continues to call but hangs up.  We are very annoyed.  They call 2 or 3 times a day. When you call their number it is busy.  They better stop calling.  We are on the no call list.  We are on a budget and cannot contribute to anyone.  Please stop calling!.

This number just called me and the operator was talking to someone next to her then hung up. I called back and it says the number has been disconnected! Sketchy!!!

Got a call from 203-922-1998.  I answered and a female voice said, "You know what - take your mail and stick it."  The caller then hung up.  When I tried to ring the number back I got a loud busy signal each time

...and they are stupid & rude as hell!  They are (supposedly) collecting now for Bridgeport P.A.L..  I've explained many times that the person that they are looking to reach is only home in the evenings.  They continue calling during the day.  I am an MS patient & these calls are extremely bothersome.  They just hung up on ME!!!! (They called me)   I, too, get a busy signal upon call back.  Calling the police dept. now, just to advise them the type of people soliciting funds for them.

CT Maher Promo called at 9:25 asking for a Mrs Thomas, I said there was no one here by that name. ( not our last or first name) their number was 203-922-1992. I asked what they wanted and they replied for a donation? It was a female caller. My bet is that they are a collection agency of some sort.

Called both my lines at the same time. ID said Greenwich CT.

I looked up the phone number (white pages reverse) and got "unlisted number."  But called-ID said C T Maher Promo, so I looked THAT up and found it's a telemarketer for charities.  Like Harris Direct, I guess.

These guys keep harassing me too.  Several calls a day and late in the evening too.  They are using random digit dialers and they don't leave a message if it goes to the answering machine.  They have a block of numbers, I also get calls from a similar number (203) 922-1989 that come up as C T Maher Promo.  I did speak with them live one time when I picked up by mistake and the guy on the other end sounded like a real high pressure slimeball scam artist.  Because of these jokers I've stopped donating to any Police organizations, which is a shame.  I live near the "office" location that's listed for them on the web, 273 Canal Street, Sheton, CT Suite 460.  A "suite" sounds pretty ritzy, doesn't it?  A recent drive-by shows that #273 Canal Street is the skeeviest block in downtown Shelton.  #273 is an abandoned factory, and the only sign on #273 says "Keep Out" just like any company with "the highest degree of professionalism" would do.  If their constant harrassment bothers you, a complaint to the Better Business Bureau might help other people form an opinion as to whether or not this is the kind of charity fundraising that deserves their hard-earned dollars.

I believe what is going on is all phone numbers get dialed because they have an out dated kind of software program that dials phone numbers, because it must cost too much money to keep buying phone numbers to call that are not on the "do not call list" so it must be something like their monitor shows the phone number that's been dialed, then prompt on the screen as to weather if you are blocked from telemarketers calls or not, so obviously if you are listed as being blocked from telemarketers then they hang up, this way in order to not break the law because because they never actually asked you to donate.... if faced by authorities they will most likely say, opps, can't I dial a wrong number...

I'll bet you can set your watch by it as to when you'll get a call from them, when its your turn in the automated dialing rotation.

So if this is indeed the case how do we go about getting this fixed? what else can it be? of course I really don't believe they are calling us out of spite to be mean...

CT Maher Promotions conducts telemarketing for numerous CT state police athletic leagues and benevolent socities (which are in my opinion the most ruthless fundraisers).  I once had a guy show up at my back door early one morning indictating that he was with the Police Athletic league and was here to pick up the check I had promised them.  I had just purchased my home and had never made such a committment and the man wouldn't leave, he kept yelling at me to open the door and give him a check so I called the police.  After much was said and done, I came to find out that the woman who lived in the house before me had committed to write a check but then moved and changed her phone number so these guys actually tried to shake her down by showing up on her doorstep (now my doorstep).  I had another situation with these fundraisers in which I indicated over the phone that I simply couldn't contribute (I had to replace my furnace that same week) and was strapped financially.  The guy on the phone kept badgering me saying, "what, you can't afford $20?!"  It's bad enough that I couldn't afford $20 but even worse that I had to rationalize this to some stranger on the phone to get him to leave me alone. It's too bad; I refuse to donate to Police organizations now.  Seems like they are doing just fine; the 3 police officers I know drive a Porche Cayenne, a BMW 5 series and a Mercedes E class...

I called that number and I got a busy tone signal. It was so frustrating because they don't leave a friggin message! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

I have started getting calls from CT Maher Promotions, too.  Started about a month ago.  I'm unemployed so I answered the phone figuring it was for a job, and no one responds.  The Tel # is 203-922-1998.  I called it back and it was busy.  Googled them and called the main # 203-922-1482 and it rang and rang.

Same report here... they called, I answered, they did not say anything and hung up. Very irritating.

I also received calls from 203 922-9417 and they hang up when I answer so I did a reverse look up on Google and found this note.  I've never responded before and I'm not even sure I'm doing right.  Anyway, I wanted to pass on to you that I reported the number to the No Call Registry and it easy to do.  It is done right on the internet and very simple.  Could you inform the other folks getting affected by the call in the blog?  I don't know how to pass on this suggestion unless by replying I am anyway.  I'm not even sure if these are blogs?  Thank you, and God bless!

CT Maher Promotion continues to call me.  When I answer the phone they simply hang up.  Why call if you're not going to announce who you are and who you would like to speak too.  Please do not call me any more.  If I recieve another call from this agency, I will take legal actions.

They call daily, they leave no message, and they are the reason I have altered my answering machine message to the following:

"Hello, you have reached [this number]. We do not accept any telemarketing calls, survey calls, charity calls, blocked calls, so-called unknown calls, or political calls. Other than that, you may leave a message."

A few unwanted callers who use a computer to dial automatically have programmed it to wait until my message ends before beginning a whole spiel designed to use up all the space on my answering machine's chip. It's not yet clear which of the many unwanted calls we receive is the source.

(203)922-1996 never answers.  If they don't want to talk, why call all th
e time?  Does anyone know  who these people are and what they want? Next step will be to contact Better Business Bureau and CT State's Attorney General Richard Blumenthal because something is suspicious when they keep
such a low profile.
