JJ - thank you for taking the time to take the call & doing the 'hard work' --- just wanted to say, in doing what you did ---- you will be helping a lot  of people, you helped me & likely people read these pages - get the info. & don't post --- no way of knowing how many people yu helped. I agree - posted on another page re: another # --- how do these people/company's get our phone # - no doubt via technology ---- not like the 'old days' ---- you had to use a phone book! Our # is unlisted, though so it makes it all the more a mystery to me ( it's been unlisted for yrs.) -- before technology has come as far as it's come...

1 thing for sure - technology is a huge help to them , and we aren't protected.

It dawned on me as I was writing this: my brother told me a long time ago - some co's share your information --- & he mentioned the internet as well, to be careful. If I sign up for (i.e.)  a company's newsletter, etc,  I look for 'we don't share yur info' vs. 'we share with a 3rd party' & if it say's that - I don't sign up.

I didn't answer the call because I just don't answer from numbers I don't know/recognize, nor from ones that say "unavailable" or "unknown" or etc.  I'm glad I didn't this time as well.  Thanks for the info!

Getting random phone calls from this unknown number with a Connecticut area code: (203) 954-0509, so I answered. I see other have been getting bothered by this number as well. Here is the info i gathered and how my conversation went:
Caucasian female's voice on the other line.
Asks for me (by first name only). Then starts off by saying that this is not a sales call and that she is calling from an Official Education Certificate and Loan Organization, or something along those lines, and quickly asks me to confirm my email address (which she only had an old one of mine).

After I started to get aggravated and kept asking why she is calling me and how she got my number, she continued to ask if I am currently trying to further my education; offering an educational loan and an educational certificate.
She asked if I am interested or trying to get my associate's or bachelor's degree anywhere now or in the future. I sharply respond by telling her that I have already gotten my bachelor's degree and asks if she has any idea who she is talking to and what she wanted. Then she goes like "well do you want to get a certificate for that then?"... I have no idea what she was even talking about, so I said that I already have my diploma and was completely covered.
She reached a dead end and she backed off of the conversation after that and ended the call.

These people make me sick and are so annoying. I have no idea how I get calls like this and where they get my number from but it happens much too often. I'm glad sites like this exist that can help weed out these scum bags. They are all scam artists, identity theft criminals, and need to be tracked down by someone to be arrested for their felonies and charged for wasting the time of so many working citizens.. DIsgusting.

unwanted call

Calling everyday, several times per day.  No idea who they are or what they want

I have been getting calls on almost a daily basis now for several days.  I answer the call and say hello, then they wait a second or two and hang up.  All I can find out is that it's a landline phone number in Ansonia or Derby CT.
