Just because someone says you owe them money does not mean you have to agree my friend.  I refuse to pay because they provided a s****y service, and did not deliver on their promises.  I OW THEM NOTHING!!!

This number keeps calling me and I have no idea who they are

This company is called Commercial Credit Adjusters, it is a collection company that was paid by your outstanding bills to collect for them. The company's do this because you haven't paid them when they have tried themselves... If you want to call them back the number is 1-866-958-5850... It's not a scam the reason they don't tell you the reson for the call upfront is because of Provincial laws.. They have to verify they are speaking to the correct person, that's why they ask to confirm your address and birthday.. Just tell them the info and they won't call you everyday... Legally they can call you up to three times a day. If you are pleasent with them they will actually try to help you out as much as the client will allow them; e.i set up payment plans instead of a payment in full... A lot easier than the company taking you to court and garnishing your wages!

This phone number called us while we have dinner but they did not even leave a voice message they hang up. Leave a voice message you jerks and do not call us back ok?

phone the rcmp and give them the number and tell them they are harassing you.. harassment is a criminal charge

This strange number calls and doesnt identify themselves and tells me to call a 1-866 num and it is not even my name.

Called again today looking for another person with our last name. First name is different! Told them it's not us so they will take our # off their list. They told me that that before but still call. I will let the crtc know again!

It's Primus Canada who put me in ther database because I refused to pay a $100 bill. I have recording and tracking the the trail of communication since dealing with Primus Canada. They are enguaging in all kinds of deception and fraud.

I have contacting the manager there.  They refuse to give out his name and e-mail, but yet they want mine.

This is the message I left to on his voice mail treating to expose all communications on the internet. I will find a way to expose them eventually.  This is the message I left for him:

"Calls are not accepted or returned to automated non-human systems.
Calls are never answered personally but may be returned by an automated system.
All calls are recorded and privacy can never be assumed or expected.
Private or anonymous callers are rejected completely.
Religious peddlers, solicitors and surveyors will be reported to the CRTC and exposed on the Internet.
Complete names, numbers, identities and full recordings of deceptive, fraudulent or harassing bill collectors or other unwelcome agencies will be exposed on the Internet, and they will be prosecuted.
First:
Identify your first, middle and last name and the number you are calling from or your call may not be returned. Then provide an e-mail address and say the full legal entity you are representing and list your full address.
Next:
Say the full first, middle and last name and birthday of the person you want to reach. Then leave a detailed and unambiguous message outlining the Exact particulars of your call, or your call will not be returned.  Please note that messages with partial or incorrect information may not be returned
and Finally, a fee will be billed for communication service.

these guys are calling me every single day and leaving me voice mails, the person on the other end sounds really sketchy too, you can not even hear them ... stop calling me you A-- hole

They called here and the same as another post, asked for some of the same last name as us but not any of our first names. Left a case number and toll free number and extension to call back. Super annoying for sure!

Called before 8:am .I picked up and hung up immediately.

Claimed they were a company called Commercial Credit Adjusters.  VERY aggressive wanting my birth date and home address.  I told him that I was telling nothing and he should tell me more about HIM............oh, but he needed MY information first....NOT HAPPENING BUDDY!  Reported them to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Agency.  If he phones back, that is EXACTLY what I'll be telling him.

Asked for a person unknown to us and nothing else? Strange, without further research and reading the other reports, assume a collection agency looking for someone. We are retired empty nesters (for many years) and have no idea who they wanted. Not sure how to get our number "off their list" but will report to DNC.

This number has been calling and calling and there is never anyone on the line, just the 'click click' of the computer hanging up on me.  So I called the number back and a live person answered the phone and told me they were a collections agency and that she would put me through to an agent.  So the agent comes on the phone and tells me his company name where he is located (he tells me Edmonton) even though the number that calls and that I called back is a 204 area code.  He then tells me they have an office in Winnipeg.  So he punches my digits into his database and I'm figuring he'll come up with a name and address of someone who is not me, but instead, says, sorry, your number is not in our database.  Well WHY then, is this number on my phone every day??  No one ever leaves a message, no one every speaks when I answer the phone.  I'm getting annoyed that this person doesn't even have an explanation for me.  He can't take me off a 'list' because I'm not in his computer to begin with!  He tells me next time someone calls to get their name, well for crying out loud, there's never anyone there!!  How do I get their name?  I've never owed anyone money in my life and we have had this same phone number and address for over a decade.  I'm doubtful that calling them back will stop them from calling here but it was worth a try since the last telemarketer who annoyed me, when I called them back, it told me the number wasn't even in service!!  My husband had a similar call on his cell phone of all things, which is strange because his cell is a work phone and not a personal phone.  I am not sure if it was this same company or not (it was a 1-866 number I believe) but in this instance they asked for a person we had no idea who it was and they've never called back since.

This is a legit collection agency. If they are calling you, you (or someone with the same name as you) have an outstanding debt with one of their clients that is now in third party collections at Commercial Credit Adjuster. They ask your birthdate to verify you are the debtor. Its not a scam but they WILL hound you to the ends of the earth until you speak with them and/or pay your debt off

204 272 2060 keeps calling me insisting that i give them my date of birth so they can give me important information, i always refuse as i am sure this is an identity theft scam, beware.

Asked to speak to me by first name. Then introduced herself and her company and asked me a few questions: if I had ever used a specific phone number and if I'd ever lived at a particular address in Winnipeg. Both answers were "no" and she thanked me and ended the call.

I suspect it was a collection agency looking for someone with a similar name to mine. She didn't ask me for any personal details, other than the quick yes/no questions to presumably determine if I was the person she was looking for. Call was at a reasonable time.

This call was *not* computer dialed -- I have blocks that prevent computer dials from getting through -- this was a live person calling.

Didn't really seem like a scam -- she certainly didn't try to sell me anything or ask me any unreasonable questions, although for some this might not be a welcome phone call.

Proven way to stop these calls......

Answer, speak immediately so the computer will transfer to a live person. Then have fun with it, tell them you are so interested, but keep doing things, like answering doorbell, getting pen and paper, getting credit card.

The more you can waste that live person's time (and wages) will get you off call lists faster than any "do not call" list. I do this, and they never call again, and I have rarely been getting new calls.

Hit them where it hurts, the wallet.

If a nice percentage of people did this, all telemarketing would probably stop...

Called a business demanding I put their call through to some random name.  Didn't even bother to check and see if they worked for us.

D'après les commentaires de ce numéro de téléphone, ils feraient partis de fraudeurs.

I just got a call from this number but did not pick it up.

They are another one in the long list of fraudsters.

I am so sick and tired of being called....they asked for a few names before they asked for mine....dat's juss freakin stupid!!!

They called again today!

This number came up with Manitoba on the call display - called before 7:30 am.  When answered they said it was important that I call them back right away.  I hung up before getting their "important" number.  Fortunately I have a phone that allows me to block particular numbers from calling - I hear 1 ring and then it stops.

Got a call at 7.52am this morning. Not happy, its the third time they've called. Will not leave me alone or tell me who they are!
