yup called twice, no-one there

This number called my place today, and did not leave any message, at approx 11:50 AM.   Reading all the reviews on this scammer prompted me to submit a comment.  The call display just showed "Manitoba"

Caller didn't leave message.called at 2:36pm.

I also recieved a call numerous times from this number and they called twice today. No message. Being from Saskatchewan we get a lot of finance companies from Manitoba calling so you dont know what is raud and what isnt.

BTW - just look at the number. How probable is it that someone would get assigned a number like 359-3559? Not likely!! So is just as spoofed as the numbers 111-111-1111.

I am so sick of all these pain in the butt calls!.. we get it twice as bad because we have a "smart" line as well for the kids.  I already put our numbers on the do not call list long ago!

I just got a call from that number did not answer. Would see the phone number but there was no name.

Recorded message re: credit card.  Told them to go to **** and slammed receiver down.

call begins "this is an important message from card holder services" - so a credit card scam of one type or another perpetrated by peple who are not fit to wade through our s***. Block em. Don't answer. BTW they aren't really calling from 204 (Manitoba, Canada) - the call is spoofed

"this is an important message from card member services" yada yada yada. It is a spoofed call from Manitoba Canada ---in other words it is coming from somewhere else but they want you to think it is from Manitoba. When I saw the number I should have known immediately .... well, what are the odds of getting a number like 359-3559? Have those jerks no imagination at all? Besides doesn't almost the whole world know about how phoney "card member services" is.

Based on what you know about credit card companies (for eg. if you pay off a credit card bill of $800 by only paying the minimum every month, it will take you a mere 26 years to do it!!! And who do you think is going to profit?) --- So, if there is any money to be made, the credit card companies will not give the opportunity to any other company (like "card member services").

One other gripe from me ..;.. when you submit one of these reports on a phone number, there is a pull-down window for 'call type'. I think calling this company "telmarketers" is a slap in the face to real telemarketers (not that I'm fond of them). Shouldn't there be another category - like thieves, destroyers of honest hard working people, slime of the earth, bottom feeders - something more appropriate

if you pick up and say hello only once and get no reply then its a crank caller who uses an audible indicator (more than one word) before they route the call to a real person to bug you.
Say hello once...or say "eh" if your canadian and then if no answer, hang up and block the number

Called me too and no message left. Glad I saw the info here or I would wonder if it was legit!

A lot of these frauds originate with a group of scumbags known as the Summer Bay Parntership, which already is being investigated by the Florida Attorney General's Economic Crime Units.  After trying to scam people with fraudulent "Free Vacation" packages or timeshare resale frauds, these same people often start receiving calls for other garbage such as this "credit review."  The numbers are often bogus, but they call come from Florida call centers.

Yet one more fast-talking scammer from (I should have guessed it) Florida. Of course, trying to hide the origin of the call by routing it through Manitoba, area code 204.
Claims the company is called "Consumer Debt Advocate" and they can wipe out credit card debt.
I told him he must be mistake to call me. I was born in 1949, not yesterday.

basically goes like that '' this is important message, we have been trying to contact you several times, you owe us money, need to speak to representative, press one"

i did - asked few times for company name - he said something quietly few times, i said plainly that my number is protected under the "do not call list" please remove me from your mailing list.

This is a business number, and they keep calling us and whenever we pick up no one answers. SO annoying.
