They've called me twice now, 2 days in a row, seem to call after 6pm local time (Alberta); don't leave a voicemail msg.  Looked up # on telus.net Reverse Directory and there doesn't appear to be a listing.

They just called me today and they were trying to talk to me and she asked how the weather was today. after she asked me what kind of magazines do i like And i asked why. because we want to give you free magazines. so i said why would you give me free magazines. she said there wasnt enought readers. Im like how do the publishers make money. she said all the advertizments pay for it.

well i said i dont want any maginzines. she said why dont you want any magazines. then i said i just dont want any.

then she hang-up.  I think she just wanted some of my personal info.

My phone rang, and so I answered it, I said "hello", there was a slight long beep and then right after, a recording played with a lady on it that said "goodbye". And then they hung up. When I searched on the internet where the call came from, it said it was from Winnepeg, Manitoba.

Oh, and it was 8:28pm when she (I think) called. This was the first time this person called here.

person called said hello like 3 times and no one answered then ther was a silent beep and sounded like a machine it said goodbye then hung up.

someone called me once on a friday night and once on a monday night, loud noise and people in the background, but i didnt get a message on my machine,

Call came just before 9.00 on a Saturday night. Pre-recorded voice said 'goodbye' when I checked my messages.

I was called yesterday from this number and there was no message left. It is a Winnepeg Manitoba unlisted landline.

I have been getting calls from what i suspect is this number from the information above, they each consist of 20 or 30 seconds of silence followed by a piercing tone then a computerised voice says goodbye and hangs up. I have recieved probably about 30 calls of this nature at seemingly completely random times, sometimes 3 in a day sometimes none for a week
creeeepy...

i redial the number, no one answers.

They called me and they didn't leave a message

this number came up on my phone today -- can`t find it anywhere either.  If its a scam they sure are persistent, it appears to have been going on for months.  I live near Ottawa, Ontario so they appear to be moving east. I don`t know anyone from Manitoba.

They called my land line this morning at 12:45 am. no message.

this number calls my house I never answer and they never leave a message. I have tried looking up to see where is it from but I can't find it.

It's a survey thing. The one I had was trying to get me to take the survey by offering a free magazine. They were very 'hard sell' too and very manipulative. When I refused to answer their first question (Are you over 18) the woman fell into a psychological tactic to get the answer out of me. (oh you sound like you're over 18, and so on). Perhaps she was bored and trying to manipulate me into talking. I can't tell.

Any case I would advise caution to whomever deals with this one. It smells fishy.

My guess after reading this its a scam. Just ignore the call and if it repeats itself too often, call the police. Harassement (including continuous phone calls) is against the law and they will do something!

got a call from this number lady named maria asked about giving away free magazines, then started asking age what i read, told her books, she asked about the twilight series, then called me a liar when i wouldn't tell me what it was about, saying i hadn't read it (PSYCO)

received two calls from this number.  It appears the call originated from Winnipeg. Sounds like some kind of scam.

I got a call today Saturday it rang long distance. No voice message I tried calling back no answer.

same thing as the last guy got a call it had a little beep then it said Goodbye.

got a call....dead silence, heard a little beep, then a "robotic voice" said goodbye and hung up.

Received two calls in as many days, or rather evenings, don't leave message, and no answer if I try calling back ???

i just got a call from this number - it's 8 pm and i live in interior bc

I got the magazine one, I don't remember the girls name but she started talking about getting free magazines, and such. But then she started asking about who i bank with and where i work, and how long i've worked there. kind of odd...

Same here, the number phoned my house and left no message at 7:08PM today. I'm from Saskatchewan.

2 days in a row now I've received a call from this #.  They don't leave a v/m msg.  I did a search on telus.net Reverse Directory for both People and Businesses and there's no listing.  Seem to call after 6pm.
