I am done donating to them....this is a machine that calls and records when you are home then they call back in next day or so. Its just plain rude. Call in person or not at all!!!

This phone number has called me a few times and there's never anyone there and there's no message.

Got a call today from this number and when I answered no one replied. I said hello three times and still no response. Creepy and rude. Not impressed. Made me wonder who would do that and was very disappointed it is from Canadian Diab clothesline. You think they would have a better system going. Happens way too often! Is this how they really want to roll?

more calls from this number than I care to think about...so inconsiderate that nothing is done about it
maybe I will start donating my stuff to another charity

I also had a few calls from this number over the last few days, with dead air when we answer. All calls around dinner time, so I'm not happy.

Despite repeated requests to be taken off their call list - we continue to get phone calls at all hours from this number (CANADIAN DIABETES FOUNDATION).
Sometimes there is a caller - most time it is just dead air ... which is EXTREMELY annoying when you've run from the far side of the house to answer what you thought was an expected call from someone else.
They are rude and relentless about calling and do not respect do-not-call requests.
For this reason alone I drop my re-use-ables at local Goodwill stores myself and encourage others to do the same.

The number belongs to:
Canadian Diabetes Association Clothesline Program - Pick Up Service
(204) 949-9163
Used to donate all the time but have moved out of their area. Asked to be removed and they did with no problem. They are legit - not trying to get your money or your credit card.

204 949 9163 Canadian Diabetes Association . I have requested to be removed from the list, yet they insist on calling 3 times a week

PLEASE READ - PROBLEM SOLVED: Called the number back, it's the Canadian Diabetes Association call centre. They have a new "Automated System" which calls and unfortunately "drops calls" sometimes. You can ask and they will take you off the list. Very nice people, don't be rude, just ask.

We have donated an awful lot to this organization over the years. But one more hang up call from them and we will be donating to Salvation Army instead. Can someone please submit their email address so we can all complain directly to them?

For your information, since you know nothing of auto dialers, it starts at the beginning say 999-0000, then goes to 999-0001 and so on, etc. No one has sold your number. Do a little research before you write such a nasty post. Call them and tell them you want your number removed. Wow, that was easy!

I am getting this every day. No one one the other line.
| Betty 2013-02-16 05:13:13 Unknown |
Got the same call as everyone else-answering machine says we have a message, but no-one is there - very frustrating and a waste of time. Please correct this problem.

It's not long since I donated to the Canadian Diabetes.. perhaps they have another run on for Christmas. Will have to call them back. Did not recognize the number.

I received a call from this number two days in a row. I say "hello" but no one speaks. Why is this still happening so many months after they were informed of the problem?

I sent the CDA this email message
Your clothes line auto dialer 204-949-9163 is starting to call us, and no one at your end answering, just a hang-up.
That is creepy, coming from a supposedly legit NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION
I can see posts on the web showing you have had this problem since June 2012.
That is an unacceptable time frame to be claiming you have a problem with your automated phone dialer.
I am bringing this to your attention, that you should forward this email to administrative personnel,
Or IT services so something is done about it ,
So probably you don?t have the staff to answer when the dialer finds a live call,
Meaning the dialer should revert to a recorded message, instead of rudely hanging up the answered call.
Or the dialer should stop and wait for staff to be ready to answer
June July aug sept that?s a long time to be having technical problems, unresolved,,,
Meaning, nothing was ever really done about it, probably.

They call at various times, day and night but no one answers when you say hello.
I think it is Canadian Diabetis yet don't understand why the calls come on a daily basis - sometimes 2 or 3 times. I have called back but the line is busy. It makes me very nervous to be "monitored".
The line seems dead but if you wait long enough, a dial tone finally kicks in.
I read on this site that other people are having the same experiences.
Like them, I want those irritating calls to stop immediately!

Two weeks after Sonny's post, and they haven't corrected it yet. Silence, and then it HANGS UP on me. This s*** should be outlawed globally. The CRTC does nothing, because they make a buttload of money regulating this kind of crap; the no-call list is full of exceptions, and not enforceable across borders; the 'legal calling hours' are BS to those of us who work nights; and I'm just plain sick and tired of being disturbed by parasites who want something from me. it's MY phone: I pay for the damn thing, and the telco shouldn't be selling my # for profit, or charging extra for unlisting it. Greedhead b*****ds.

I originally called them to donate clothing to their program, and while it is an otherwise good charity from what I know, they call often and it has become a bit tiring. I will ask them to remove my number from their list next time I answer.

I called the Winnipeg office of the Canadian Diabetes Association. They are aware of the situation and are trying to correct it. It is apparently a problem with their auto-dialling system. The number is associated with their clothesline program.

I answered and no one spoke.. must be an automated caller.
| mike 2012-07-26 23:14:41 Unknown |
