They called and totally harassed me over something I had no idea what they were talking about. The hospital they were supposedly calling about said they were scamming me. The police officer I spoke to said the same thing. I am having to change all my banking, passwords, and I am calling the states attorney over this matter. I was threatened and made to feel like a slug. They literally scared the crap outta me. I have all your info. I know your social and your address and how old you are. Like some sort of stalker.

Cloud and Tidwell attorney at law calls me at my new phone number; when I answer the phone they ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO TAKE A CALL; I hold and it costs me minutes on my cell phone.  I do not owe a debt to anyone or any company.  I am debt free.  I want them to stop calling me.  What can I do short of going to Alabama and hiring my own attorney to sue them?

These people called my job and told them that it would be in my best interest to call them back seeing as there was an officer on the way to arrest me. When I got the message I then called the magristrate's office to see, who informed me that anyone calling and saying that the police were on the way to arrest me is a scam. He then informed if I had an attorney to call him. I was informed by my attorney to ask these people to send me a copy of a  statement saying that I owed them this money. The response I got when I called them back was a man who cursed me out and said that I did not need to threaten him with an attorney, I tried to give him attorney's phone number and address he then hung up on me. I have sensed been informed by our local police department that I should no longer accept phone calls from these people.

We recently got direct call phone lines for everybody in the office at my work.  I've gotten a few calls from this phone number when I've been away from my desk, but they never leave a message.  I tried calling them back but I only get their voice mail. They are debt collectors apparently. I've received a few phone calls of this nature for the person who formerly had my direct line telephone number.  If they are debt collectors, a cease and desist letter should suffice to stop them from contacting you again.

You are wrong Credit Savy. You need to stop giving advice. You can be sued while that 7 to 10 years is rolling. Paying a charged off debt will improve your score. It takes 90 to 120 days for that to show on your credit and it WILL increase your score. You need to be educated before you speak.

In some cases this may be legitimate. I had an outstanding medical bill from a hospital in New Jersey. This was the firm that the bill was transferred to. They have been less than accommodating in the pay back process. They have name called, harassed and threatened even though I have been repaying the company. After reading these posts, I am starting to wonder what kind of operation they have running there. I would call the medical facility to see where the bill was transferred to or if you even have an outstanding bill.

Ok, so about 2 months ago my Mom called me out of the blue to tell me that some law firm kept calling her home phone and harassing her. They kept telling her to contact me and have me call them ASAP. Well I was really concerned, why the hell would a law firm need to contact me!? So I called right away. Needless to say, after reading all these comments, I think you all know what's to come. This RUDE man said he was an lawyer for Cloud and Tidewell. He told me that I owed over $2,000 in charges from T-mobile. I hadn't been with that company in over a year! I was outraged since we'd payed our cancellation fee. Anyway, I told him there was no possibility for me to pay that amount in one lump sum and he went on and on about how they DO NOT do payment plans. Well in the end I said ok then, what would you like me to do? Pull $2,000 out of my a**!? He then told me that if I refused to pay all of it right that minute that I'd be taken to court and yadda yadda yadda. After I had nothing to say he finally agreed to $200 a month payment plan and dropped the $2,000 down to $800. I have no clue how all of this came to be but it's totally ruined my money situation for the past 2 months. I have 2 more payments and I'm done with their a***s. I can't tell you how rude this man was. Good luck to anyone else who has to deal with these dumb assses!

Report these people to the Disciplinary Commission of the Alabama State Bar, P.O. Box 671, Montgomery, AL 36101-0671. They need to have their licenses yanked from them. They have totaslly harrassed me about a bill that they say my insurance didn't pay two years ago, and we don't even have the same same insurance anymore. Suddenly I owen someone some money, but they can't even give me a bill!

NCO are the pits.  I went bankrupt once they were the worse.. Cloud and Tidwell and Amsher were class acts you could actually talk and reason with.  NCO told me I had to pay for a truck that had been repo'd and  covered by my BK 7!   Once I captured their phone number I never took another call.

These collectors and or lawyers are looking for my deadbeat daughter,  I gave them a number I have used to talk to her, and they have never called me again.  While "Jack" never said, I bet it's her UAB hospital bill too!

These people ( claiming to be the law offices of Cloud & Tidwell ) called me today and a couple of weeks ago saying that I owe on a credit card from 2007.  The last credit card I had was in about 1996 when I bankrupted my debt due to unforeseen medical bills.  I have not been able or even tried to get another credit card since having to file bankruptcy.  These people say I got a credit card from some bank named Orchid ( a Gold Card of all things ).  Who would give me a Gold Card??  I ask the lady if she had any documentation that I signed for this card and she said "oh it's your debt" then started reciting my SS# and birth date.  I told her that anybody can get that information, that I needed something in writing showing who got this card.  I told her that I have never had a credit card and that I wanted to see what purchases were made with this card so I could maybe figure out who was using my SS# and Birth date.   Since it seems to be easily obtained since she now has it!  I told her that I didn't believe that she was a real law firm as she had claimed and she said if I had called her back as I had promised the first time she called me that I would have seen that they are legitimate.  I didn't know how me calling her back would prove she was legitimate but she seemed all enthused about what she was reciting to me so I let her go on.  She said something about I owed $874.61 but if I promised to pay by August 26th I could pay $600.00 and they would except that as full payment.  Then she said that my other option was to pay 3 payments of 299.53 starting August 19th.  Either option I had to give her a credit card with this post dated due date.  I told her that I did not have a credit card, as I had stated before since 1996.  She then wanted my bank routing number and bank account number.  I told her I could not do that.  She kept putting me on hold then coming back then putting me on hold and coming back on the line.  She then said that she was talking with her customer (the creditor I supposedly ripped off) and that was why she was putting me on hold so much.  She said her customer was not going let me pay any other way because by me not calling her back the first time she called that her customer no longer trusted me and a payment by mail is now "off the table".  So, I told her "Well, I guess you are going to have to sue me then you will have to show me some paperwork".  She then got really angry and spouted of something like "the best of luck to you Ms. Rogers" like I am supposed to feel threatened by the Big-Bad-Law firm and I was supposed to crumble and say "ok, here's my bank account number with the routing number".....NOT
