Long folksy message saying they need to arrange delivery for a free emergency medical call device (I 've fallen and I can't get up thingie).  Recording says it's been paid for and also shipping.  At the end of the recording another voice comes on to say if I already own one please disregard.  Really?   Yours is supposedly paid for and you aren't gonna deliver it to me?  What a crock this one is.    
By the way, it mat say POA Georgia but they are in Alabama.

These people began to call my daughter months ago, I explained that she had open heart surgery and to stop calling for donations! It has begun again. So I am calling Alabama consumer affairs to report them, my number is unpublished and on the No call list!!!!!!

Have been getting calls from 205-313-0982 for the past 2 weeks.  Was told it was collecting for POLICE OFFICERS.  Told them I DID not give to charities over the phone.  Don't know how to stop them.  Try to block the number.  help  I am on the no call list.  I am ill and do not like to be bothered by these calls.

I too have been harassed by their (POA)  calls. Why can't goverment regulations stop them. This is the USA not China. Starting to be a fine line between us.

Got a call from this # at 6:20pm est.  It came up as POA Georgia and when I answered, the call ended.  I called the number back and got a recorded message "I'm sorry, you have called a number which can not be reached by this special phone." Not sure what this means but I won't be answering POA calls again.  I'm also on the "Do not call" list... like that matters.

I get calls often from this number and I ignore them. It's not unusual for companies to hire telemarketers from other states to make their calls, so getting an Alabama number for a Georgia solicitation is not an unusual event. But they never leave a message and they call several times a day. It infuriates me when they call late at night or early in the morining, which these people do. I intend to answer next time and tell them to take me off their calling list and hope that works. BTW, if you call the number back, it says it can't take calls. Which means they are on a switchboard or PBX with no incoming service where they can enter anything they want into their system and push it out as a CallerID.

They hang up if you say your are already law enforcement.

Phone call from POA OF GA.  They would not leave a message.   This number showed GA but is located in Alabama.   I had calls from this number before wanting money for the Police Dept.---------why in Alabama when I do not live there.

I am so tired of these people calling from this number. I just called it back and they said you cannot  reach any one from this number. Whjat is going on. We pay for our telephone service and we are on the  no call list but still we are get these type of calls....Can't something be done about it? Tirerd of this companies....:-(

Received the hang up call at 2000 Eastern Time with the caller ID information as Emageon Inc. The number is out of Birmingham, AL and so is the company. But the main number for Emageon is slightly different from this one.

I received a call from this company and it came up emageon inc. when I said : "hello" someone called my  name and then hung up. I figured some sort of scam or someone just checking to see if we were at home

I received a call from this phone number, 205-313-0982, at 5:13 pm on April 18, 2012.  The Caller ID identified it as "POA of GA".  After answering hello once, I said hello for a second time.  Someone finally said hello, how are you doing this afternoon?  I said okay.  They asked for me by name.  I said who is this calling?  The man said, Police Officers Association of Georgia.  We are looking for  NAME for contributions.  May we send out our literature and forms to count on you for donations.  I said I am pretty strapped right now (because of some expensive home improvements that I HAD to have and pay for...) and I cannot make any donations to other groups that I don't normally donate to on my own.  He said he was from the Police Officers Association in Georgia, but WHY he is calling from a Birmingham, Alabama telephone number.   Just another scam to get your personal information.  They will try any thing to get your money and personal information.  Don't give it to them.  PLEASE BE CAREFUL !!  I have a select list of groups that I donate to annually, and it ain't to people that call me just because they can dial my telephone number !!

POA Georgia 205/313-0982 -- I received a call at 1:52pm on 04-16-2012, just minutes after speaking on the phone with my cable/satellite TV service provider.  I didn't answer POA's call, nor did they leave me a message..  The timing of these calls could be coincidental, but should be noted.

My concern is that POA might be attempting to digitally-access our information merely by our phone being answered [by a person or by voicemail].  This could be the reason POA doesn't need to speak to anyone when they call.  With rapidly-changing technology, this is something to consider.

Caller ID shows POA Georgia 205-313-0982. I googled POA Georgia and found info on this site that the same company was making calls under a different number in 2008 and 2009. Same thing happened to me that happened to them, when I returned the call, a recording said the number had been disconnected. If you actually answer when they call, they just hang up. I'm not real sure what point they are serving by annoying people...they don't even bother to at least try to scam you out of money with some stupid speech. At least stay on the line so I can tell you what I think of you! Right?

By the way, we are also on the Do Not Call Registry. We have learned that it really doesn't make a difference with MANY "organizations".
