This number has called several times. I've never signed up for anything to do with this place. How did they get my cell number?

I got this call, they do a drop box, the winner then gives out 7 names and numbers of friends with kids in order to receive the deal. You get a $20 voucher, and $175 off coupon for a vacation. I had the pictures done and everything, nothing was a scam, only disappointing thing is they try to get you to buy more pictures. It's just a business trying to get more clients.

Calls every nite during dinner hour and doesn't leave  message. No answer on call back. I am on do not call list for cell phones.

It is because you are reffered by friends. They call them and request 10 friends and if they give them 10 numbers to call then they give you a free trip!

just read the email from the lady who says she works at american studios and about how they get your number. i have not ever put my name or number in a box for a picture and if i did i would not use my cell phone numberbecause i do not even know it. none of my friends know it because i never use it. i call no one on my cell phone for them to use my number on a drawing card or some such thing.  i have not bought a coupon book or signed up for anything.

got a call from this number while I was in church. when I tried to call back the line was busy. they called my cell phone that is not in my name it is also on the do not call list. Looked it up and found this site.  my son works in jasper al. will ask him about this business.  how they got my number I would like to know.  I live about 100 miles from Jasper, al.

I put my name in a box at a local restaurant and received a call quite a few times while I wasn't home stating that I won a free picture. They were told to call back at a certain time when I would be home and they don't. I've tried calling them back over and over and it is busy. Unless you call about 9 or 10 at night then it just rings.

they have called me 4 times today already. my phone is messed up because of the rain that has came in and i couln't hear anything but a lady asking for my name. i never registered my son to win a pic so i will not answer again now that i have found this site and read all you guys stuff. Weird....

I signed up for these photos and had them done of my daughter when she was 8.  She is now 12.  They call every year trying to get us to come back and have more pictures taken.  Once they get your number, they are going to call for years.

I keep getting the same call. no-one leaves message here either

To everyone that has posted about this number: I work for American Studios, and we are a legitimate portrait company. I will explain how we get your names and numbers. either you purchase a coupon book from local merchants in your area that have disount coupons for our portraits, or you (or a friend) signs up for our portraits thru our drop box promotionals, OR someone refers your name to us. We do not do cold calls. We (our photographers) travel all over the United States, mostly southern states, and we do glamour, antique style pics for kids (12 and under) color dress up pics for kids (12 and under). The reason we sometimse ask for the child is: Most people put the childs name on drop box tickets instead of the parent or guardian, and we have no way of knowing who to ask for. And, the number that shows on your caller id, well, it stays busy because it is our main line. So, to reach us, the 800-964-5531 is the best bet. As for not leaving a message, well, we are instructed to not leave a message. But, as far as any of our operators being rude, well, if they are CAUGHT doing that, well, needless to say, they get fired! So, I am sorry if any of you got called by one of the rude operators (most of the time, they are high-school kids working part-time) But most of us are trying our best to be professional. This is how we make our living, and this is our line of business.

They called my daughter several times. She finally called back. The girl spoke quickly. When my daughter asked her to explain slower, the woman became exaserpated.  Her is the way it went:
You have been signed up to take Glamour Shots at the Royal Inn (a very skanky motel, in our small town.)  A friend of hers was scheduled at 2...could she schedule my daughter for the same time? My daughter refused. She was given a second choice. If she gave the woman 10 names and numbers of her friends, she COULD be ELEGIBLE for a drawing of an all expense paid resort trip--3 nights, 4 days in at a US resort.  

If this was not disturbing-enough, they NEVER inquired if she was over 18 or asked to speak with a grown-up.  I am calling the police.

I missed a call from 205 384 3816 on my cell phone today. I did a reverse phone search and it returned American Studios in Jasper Al. BUSY SIGNAL! Who is this company and why call me? Im on the do not call registry.

this woman called fri. oct. 24. at 5:41 pm. and she said that it was american studios nd that my name was drawn for a free makeover. and i asked how i had won this and she said at a local resturant in my town i had put my name in a drawing box and i told her that i hadnt been to this resturant in 5 years so there must be a mistake and i hung up. then my friend was riding in the truck with me and as soon as i had hung up with her she had called him and i said what in the hell is going on. and he answered and she told him the same thing so he hung up too. and i tried calling the number back and its either busy or no one will answer

Called my cell phone and asked for me by name.  Said that I had entered my name in a drawing at a local mall for American Portrait or something.  I haven't been in that mall in a LONG tim and did NOT put my name in for anything.  How did they get my name and cell phone #?  This makes me IRATE!

American Studios is a photography company based in Chattanooga TN. They do a lot of "drop boxes."  Probably someone gives your name to upgrade their freebie.  They are a good company and do good work but they are very expensive.

They keep calling me to.. i found a number for them that you can get through to them with. I found it on a Jasper, Alabama photographer search.. It turns out that they answer there fax number and she said she would throw out my info.. i dont know how they got it in the first place...ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CALL 800-964-5531.. ITS THERE FAX NUMBER.. Today is the second day in a row for a call to my cell phone. I have not answered because the number was unfamiliar.I haven't registered for any free pictures or portraits.

calls every day and when I call back the line is always busy.  Looked up number and it is American Studios in Jasper Alabama.  Didn't sign up for this, as this is a child's phone they are calling.

This number keeps calling me but I didnt recognize it so I didnt answer. I tried to call it back and the # is busy.

the calls started about 4 days ago, they only call me about once a day, everyday. i havent answered it yet, because i didnt know who it was and they didnt leave a voicemail. i looked on the number on whitepages.com and found out who they were, then i eventually found this site. this is really creepy. I dont know how they got my phone number and it makes me wonder what other information they know about me

I had a message on my home phone with either a child or woman briefly screaming something into the phone, then they hung up.  The caller id stated "American Studios".  I looked it up online and found more information plus this site????????????????????????????

Received calls from this woman thousands of times for many days.  Decided to answer.  First asked for my son who was not home. She thought he was 13.  Then asked for his grandmother but I am his mom.  Why would she ask for his grandmother?Said was going to have a "photo session at Days Inn 08/13." Told what children was supposed to wear & was for children under 13.  Also, said a man signed up for him.  My son is 18 & we were living in another state when he was 13.

Received a call from this number today, it is American Studios...I recently put my name in a box for a free Antique Photo of my child, which they arrange to have done during one of their photography sessions in your area...You then receive a free 8x10 but of course are asked to purchase other pictures at a higher rate.

Called my house at 8:56PM. Left no message. Only called once... so far
