From the looks of it, this ia a collection co. that is calling and they choose to hang up the phone after getting a beep to leave a message.

I keep recieving calls from this number but they don't leave a message.  Very Anoying!!!!

This has nothing to do with newspaper subscriptions.  I don't have a newspaper nor have had a newspaper subscritpion for at least 10 years.  These people are up to something and when you call back there is an automated message telling you it's for customer satisfaction survey for your newspaper.  I'm going to report this CLC company to the better business bureau and get them shut down.

Just signed up for the San Gabriel Valley Tribune & starting receiving random calls but numbers I don't recognize. I am sure they are outsourcing our information.

First off, the caller ID number is a spoof. All of these illegal callers use a device to have your caller ID read ANYTHING they want it to. This is how they get around the do not call list. And yes, it IS your newspaper selling your phone number. Everyone should cancel their subscription! Here is how got me. I received a free newspaper from the Las Vegas Review-Journal with a teaser rate for 13 weeks. I called and subscribed. They just asked for my name and address. I made the mistake of not dialing *67 before calling them. The delivery guy called me shortly thereafter to verify my information even though I never gave anyone my number. Exactly one week later the calls started. 8am, 1pm, and 8:30pm. They are very persistent.  I don`t know, nor do I care what they want. I never gave the newspaper permission to sell my unlisted phone number. One thing was for certain though, I called the paper the next day and cancelled my subscription!

They keep calling and when phone is answered, they don't reply.  Also has called several times and do not leave a message.  Caller id indicates Tuscaloosa, AL.   How about I call them 300 times and hang up!!!  KNOCK IT OFF.  Already on DO NOT CALL LIST.

daily calls from different area codes and numbers, caller ID says "Customer Loyalty".  The hang up after listening to my recording.

I recently changed my newspaper service with St. Paul Pioneer Press and wonder if they are responsible for the daily calls?

Wonder why they feel it is acceptable to harass using my phone number?

This same number called and id herself as from the Sun Herald Newspaper.  Wanted to know if I was happy with my subscription.  I queried her about renewal costs and she seemed to have the correct answers.  BUT...  she thought my email address had changed - it hasn't, and other times this number has called and just hung up when I answered.  Calling the Biloxi, Gulfport Sun Herald to verify this.  Think it's either a scam or a bad move on the part of the newspaper

We got this call from "your newspaper". My husband has our number out there everywhere for employment purposes, but it always surprises me when we get one of these calls and others have too.

They said they were just checking to see how your service was.

I've received several calls from this number, claiming to check on our newspaper subscription (Daily Breeze). Someone fraudulently subscribed us using some stolen bank checks that I ordered online from Current.

It was my local newspaper checking on my service.  They must outsource their cust svc.

I've been getting 2 or 3 calls a day from different places: Alabama, Massachusetts, Kentucky... All different numbers.  Twice they said they were following up on a request for University Finders and twice there was a recording that it was my newspaper checking on our service WE DON"T GET THE NEWSPAPER!  They ask for me by my first name. My number is unlisted and unpublished and I never ever give it out.  Very strange!

Something fishy with this number

I just got a call from this number.  I answered it and there was no one there.  Coincidentally, I did sign up for the local paper last week.  I'm hoping it's from an outsourced customer service call so I can nip it in the bud.  I do NOT like calls from things like this.

They just called, and asked for my husband. I said he was not here, and the woman hung up. I called the number back get a recording about our newspaper service. PRETTY FUNNY! WE DON'T RECEIVE ANY PAPER! EVEN ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST!

i keep getting calls from this number 205-409-3236.  i got the newspaper a couple of weeks ago, but the only mesage left was a heavy sigh?  is the newspaper giving out private numbers?  Doe the newspaper sell my information?

I keep getting phones from this number 1-205-3236. They did ask me a such of strange questions "Are you 18 right now?" I did not know how important it is and what is it about?

the voice mail message that was left was a long  silence followed by about 4 seconds of very deep breathing.

I have been getting calls, sometimes several a day, from different numbers. Primarily 205-409-3236. It started after I subscribed to my local (Pittsburgh, Pa) newspaper. The numbers that are calling me aren't even from the state I live in. I'd say the newspaper company is selling our phone numbers. Wish I would've known. They would've never got a penny off of me.

I live in GF, MT and I just started receiving calls from this number ( (205) 409-3236) today and they called 3 times without leaving a message... just today! Once at 10:33am, once at 5:01pm and again at 8:13pm (all times in MST, of course). Very annoying, and I did just recently subscribe to an out-of-state newspaper last week because I'm going to be moving to this state and that's one of the best ways to get to know a place before going there... and I'm afraid that canceling my subscription won't do any good because if they did already sell my number or something then it's too late anyways... and with technology the way it is, I'm sure somebody has the ability to see the number you use for anything (like a newspaper subscription) without that newspaper company having to sell or give it to anyone...

I'm in Long Beach also and I just subscribed to a local paper. If these calls persist they will be getting an earful from me.

I am recieving up to 5 calls a day on my cell from this number. They never leave a message, and when I try to call them they will not answer the phone. I live in Boise, ID

I live in Cali, L.A. and i keep gettin a call from these people as well I do not answer because im @ work and it is irritating, they call 3-4 times in a row and I wish i knew how to block this number, I tried calling Sprint to see if there is any way I could have the # blocked and there was nothing that they could do about it, the only option they gave me was to change my # which ive had for 10 years.........
