We are like all the others.  Offered to buy a Motor HOme we have for sale.  Supposedly lives in NJ.  Wanted Paypal to send money  Then added additonal fee so we could send his shipper the money, because he does not have a credit card.  Is a Disabled vet (haha), buying for his wife does not have a phone.   Tear jerky stories

Got the same type call. Wanted to buy my truck for his dad in Nashville. Willing to pay $400 more than asking price. Take down ad and give paypal info. Smelled a rat immediately, Broken English wrong area code, etc.

Received a text from this number wanting to buy my truck for his dad in Nashville, could not come and look at the car due to his work schedule.  Googled number and found out the deal.  Thanks

Same ole stuff said he would pay more then my asking price by $400 if I would take my add down. So I told him my asking price was $45grand( which the karts I was trying to sell are only worth about 4 grand) and they say send me your paypal info and I will send you the money so I said you are gonna send me $45400 and they say yes...What a joke I really wish these folks would get a life!!!!! Oh yea he also said it was for his dad in Nashville.

Have a refrigerator for sale on Craigs List.  This guy text me today stated he wanted to buy for his dad.  He wanted more pictures and wanted to know if I had a paypal account.  I never answered that question, I notice his number was not where the refrigerator was located, I ask him where his dad lived he said California, he stated his shipping agent would pick up.  My son searched and noticed all complaints posted.  People be careful, if not for my son I might have lost to this guy.

I had the same text as Rusty, wanted to buy my cycle for his dad in California.  Even offered 250 extra to cancel ad right away. Called Pay-Pal and they advised it would be a high rick deal and not to get involved. His number comes back to Graysville, AL. Guess it pays to check!!!

Tried same thing with me and used the same type of story line. I smell a PayPal scam.

Guy texted me about a chair I had on Craigslist.  Wanted it for his Dad in CA.  Wanted my paypal.  I  wonder how many people he gets everyday.

I received a text message from this number asking that I take my china cabinet down and list it as sold, he would pay me $250 over the asking price and that they wanted it for their dad in California but the area code is listed in Kansas, also that his delivery company would pick it up. He insist that I get a pay pal account and that it is so easy to get... I insist on a cashiers check also but no more text messages.

Guy claimed he was buying my motorcycle for his dad, who lives in Hawaii.  Offered $300 more than the asking price and wanted PayPal account information.  The grammar was terrible and poor spelling.  When I questioned where he was calling from, they said Massachusetts, but the number was from a different state. When I told him I would only take a cashier's check or money order because of scams the texting stopped.  Don't give out any information to this number.
