This number texted me regarding an expensive chandelier I had just listed an hour earlier on Craig's list .. his response about being on oil rig off shore and not being able to see it in person, but wanted to buy it and would pay for it with Pay Pal sounded like a scam!! Obviously it is!!

This number was about the 20th call I've had on this unit Encourages to do Pay of course he works offshore and it's a surprise buy for his unclePal for something is so funny about do not trust will not dothis 25000

I just receive 3 text from this number trying to buy and pay with pay pal and said that he will send for haul after payment is clear.

He just texted me 9/1 on a camper that I have for sale.  Same broken english message, and asking for paypal information... thanks for the posts!

i rec'd a text from this a*** re: expensive item i'm selling on craigslist. i did text the number back and called then i checked the number out. should have done that first b4 calling!

Same scam - text sent within minutes of posting add. Asked 1st. question that was clearly stated in add. Guess it is hard to hold a real job.DO NO REPLY TO NUMBER!

This guy texted me about buying my truck with pay pal but after looking up his number I don't trust it

And he gave me the name of John Bayer.

Like steve98, I received emails and I replied by txt msg. Gotta love Google Voice, he never gets my real number and I can block him, mark as spam.

Is this a scam this number texted me the guy works on the boats and is trying to by my truck he said he will transfer money into my Paypal account and then have a carrier come pick it up after the money cleared

And I' ll bet you he works offshore!

I've received 2 text messages in the past 10 minutes about a couple things I'm selling online in the same way by this number
