I work for a technical support department. They keep calling our business and stating that they have an urgent message from Regions Bank. We call back them number as asked and there is noone there.
Our corporation does not do business with Regions Bank or AmSouth.
The calls are bogus and should not be answered.

This is a number for the Regions Bank Collections Department. It is a ligitimate number and they maybe calling you by mistake. They called me and simpley asked my 1st and last name. I was not the person they were looking for.

They are the real deal. Because of privacy laws, they have to verify who they're talking to and not give out private information. name address and phone number on out bound calls plus part of the social on inbound calls. HOWEVER if they're calling a wrong number, they will only need to know the number that was called and who they were asking for. A wrong number wastes their time and it is in their interest to remove your number.

Called a person and wanted Social and checking account number to verify a loan information, showed up on caller I.D. as Regions Bank. Number is more than likely a scam.

Katrina 2011-06-06 20:42:00 Unknown
They keep calling us over and over. It is an automated message to call them back at another number. We do so and they want our account number. We have no accounts with this bank. Come to find out, someone with my husbands name has an account with them.
Tim H 2011-06-06 20:42:00 Unknown
Called claiming they're checking for a loan I had with Regions Bank or AmSouth. I have neither. They wanted address history and DOB.
Hank E 2011-06-06 20:42:00 Unknown
First time left no message. Second time on a Saturday. Stated they were Regions and left message to call back an 800 number but left no contact name.
If it's important enough from the bank they will send a letter. Ignored the scam.

these people call constantly asking for another party living here - they call at all hours and even on Sunday - when I told them off about calling after hours and weekends & federal consequences was blown off by caller asking if I was >>>>>>>>>>>>>> - and then they disconnected - am reporting them to Regions Bank

I get calls almost daily from this number on my cell phone. I do not know who it is and they never leave a message. I've had calls at 11PM on Sun. night. 8AM on Sat morning...today (Sunday) at 11AM...and all hours and days in between. How do we get this stopped? What happened with the do not call list?

Uncle Sam, eventhough the 205-560-8182 might be legit (by your research) the 1-800-333-4104 is given by them on their message. So if your research is not valit. The personal info they asked is way too much. When you call the bank directly they only ask for your last 4 SSN and DOB for security; however, this folks wanted to know everything (work, home, cell phone #s, mailing address) I don't think that's needed to verify identity after SSN, DOB, Acc.#.
Besides, they need cust svc training real bad.

I have verfied this number and the number is legit... Regions Bank or some may know the bank by AmSouth. Both Regions Bank and AmSouth merged about a year or more ago. If you are getting these calls the simplest reason would be that they didnt get your payment or you have made a payment on your loan. These Regions / AmSouth collectors (as I call them) work for Regions Bank and are not third party collectors. To find out all this stuff I really had to do some legit. research. There tol free number is 1-800-333-4104. Good luck

I keep getting calls from this number, but when the message is left on my phone, it starts mid-automated message. I want to know who this is that can't figure out how to leave a complete message with actual information. I won't answer a call if I don't know who it is from, but will return the call if I had some info.

Called us on Saturday morning - said they wanted to talk with us about our personal banking. Confirmed address - then they asked for more info. I declined. Would not tell me any other information - said I had to go to a local branch. Sheesh. Who are these people?
Rob 2011-06-06 20:42:00 Unknown
Alright, this settles it. E-mailed someone at the Regions Bank Headquarters and they replyed back to me that this IS NOT Regions Bank. It is defintely a scam and they are in the process of finding these people and shutting them down. I hope to God they throw their sorry a**es in the federal pen as well. Also, ever since I e-mailed them about this I have not recieved another call from this number. Has anyone else?

I saved the number in my cell phone under the busiiness name of SCAM. when it rings I know it's that damm number again, I don't need to answer it and I take comfort in knowing that someone is wasting their money to pay telemarketers to call me with no results. I do this with all the telemarkter numbers that call me.

Just got my first phone call from these folks. Said they didn't want personal info. then asked a personal banking question. When we called the number on the caller id we got a regions collection all agents are busy message. Upon calling them again we gat a woman (the same from the recording)who identified herself as a regions bank employee. We then told her we had alerted the real nregions bank of her number and that she was a fraud! She started studdering and said she didn't know what we were talking about that she hadn't called us. SCAM JERKS. Now I have to have a fraud watch on my account!!!!

The caller seems to be located at River Haven Lane (in an apartment complex)Don't know if this is accurate. Did a reverse phone lookup, but i was to cheap to pay for it. It did show a google map with a pin point location. Had to pay for the address though. Looked up the pin point on google maps, and it was on the lower portion of this apartment complex. Need to report to the Hoover Police Dept. Let them check it out.

I've been getting calls from this number for the last two weeks at least four times a day. So today I decided to wait for a response after answering. She claimed to be from Regions Bank (what the caller ID showed) and wanted personal information to confirm business/loan with Regions. Watch out for this number!
robotico 2011-06-06 20:42:00 Unknown
I called Regions - turns out that it is a legit number from a collections department. Turns out they were calling me in error... mistaken identity?
jnee 2011-06-06 20:42:00 Unknown

Jerry 2011-06-06 20:42:00 Unknown

Citizen 2011-06-06 20:42:00 Unknown
This is Regions financial consumer collections department. If they are calling, chances are you are past due on a loan or they are calling on an overdrawn checking account. They are open M-F 7AM-9PM CST, Sat 7AM-12PM and Sunday 8AM-5PM CST

Matthew 2011-06-06 20:42:00 Unknown
They are a collections department, therefore they need more information then say customer service. All collection agencies or departments will ask for multiple phone numbers as well as P.O.E for income purposes. They have to verify that you can pay.
