Called my cell didn't leave a message. Low life bottom feeders need to stop harassing the disabled, and elderly.

These morons call at all hours of the day  sometimes as early as 7am and as late as 10pm I never answer my phone because I hate talking on it but the missed call list from these people is ridiculous I am not even the person they claim to be calling for. I have filed a complaint  and added this number to block list. Metro PCS block it service is a wonderful  for an extra dollar a month. They had a majority of those numbers already blocked but they keep popping up with new numbers. File a complaint against all of them, They are very threatening even after being told they have the wrong person.

Dear Portfolio Recovery or Pestfolio Rump-wrangler, you are getting on my everlasting nerve...FOR GOD SAKE STOP IT!!!

Called me today, I have recently been cleaning up my credit and applied for a few credit accounts, so old creditors are getting my current info and calling long after the statute has run out on their judgment options.  But I didn't answer, called back with *67 and pressed one for English, recording stated it was "Portfolio Recovery Associates" like everyone is saying.  If you have an iphone with io7 you can now opt to block numbers. Just FYI.

My case was a ID theft from 1999 dismissed from court and I just found out they took it to court without my knowledge and another judge in another county let them put a lean on my home. How can they do that?  Why should I be the one to keep paying lawyers when my husband is terminally ill and we can't even afford to eat.

Repeated calls to my cell phone from this number.  I refuse to answer calls from #s I don't recognize & these people NEVER leave a message.  Reporting them to the do not call registry folks!

its portfolio recovery, its a collection agency, they don't have license to legally charge in a lot of states. Call a free or your current lawyers office and ask for advice on the issue. If you don't owe debt, they can handle them very fast. If you do owe they can help you with paperwork to get rid of them. They use your address and number the 3 credit checks use to keep track of you and your credit, so changing your number or address won't help unless you take action to get rid of them. They also uses means that are frowned upon by the court system, making it fairly easy to get a judge to dismiss the case. They have many numbers and it will say a variety of different state area codes on caller id, but all of them transfer you to the collection agency main place. don't talk to them, just talk to a lawyer.

Received a call from this number, asking me to verify my address.  I politely declined.

Portfolio recovery is never entitled to anything that has been written off,because we all pay taxes,and once the small business and or corporations written up their losses,it can no longer be collected for the same reason therefore it is illegal,please keep your document actions and don't stop your courageous acts,eventually they will be put behind bars.

Portfolio recovery has been conducting illegal transactions and phone harassment please keep informing law enforcements and  the FEDS about their whereabouts,so they can be put behind bars,some of their former employees has been in custodies already,thanks everyone.

Came up on my cell phone as Alabama Seal &.  It is in fact Portfoliio Recovery.

Call from listed as from Alabama at 3:58pm. No message left. It appears to be another bill collecting scam. I owe no debts and have very high credit rating.

Phonecall today to my cell at 13:23.  Did not answer and no message was left.  I know no one from Alabama so did not answer.

They identified themselves as debt collector and said they would be recording conversation , so I hung up., I would guess it would be yet another portfolio recovery number

I have a contact in Birmingham who tells me that the number belongs to AT&T via the old Cingular circuits, and is a mobile number tied into Portfolio Recovery, yet another number to report as a scam.
