Got the same call today, guy said he was a contractor. He even told me he was coming to the house for an appointment eventhough I gave no address and gave no indication that I would set one up.   He knew my first and last name.  When I asked him where he got my number, he said he didn't know, he said it was his first day on the job.  He said his name was Jerald Miles. Call was almost 5 minutes long.

Just tell these Pricks that you are a "Renter" and they will hang up faster than you. They are in it to sell to the owner of the property
they are wasting their time with renters.

Get this recorded music type message and no way to call them back..I want them to stop calling me.

When you get these types of calls, go to the FCC webpage (Federal Communications Commision), and fill out the online complaint form (google search FCC and click the link "File A Complaint").  The FCC probably goes after those with the most complaints so - GO GET 'EM!!!  

Try to get as much info from the phone call.  The FCC wants as much as you can give them (date & time of call, any caller ID info, any disclosed info if you actually talk to someone).  I usually ask for the "full name of the company" if I get a real person, but they just hang up.  Would you want to do business with anyone who refuses to identify themselves?

I got a call from this number, said "Hello" and weird music started playing.  I didn't say anything else, and the call disconnected.

I got a call from this  person also asking about remodeling. Where can w officially report these people? I 've gotten way too many calls from contractors lately is ridiculuos. How can we make hem stop? I have the feeling some are just pure scam artists too.

Rang several times and I picked up.  Guy claiming to be 'Gerald' of 'General Contracting Services' wanted to know if I needed remodelling.  Told him I was on DNC list.  Asked 'whats that' and hung up.  Pretty sure they are part of scam that includes Crowne Builders.  Same m/o and attitude.  Report these guys to DNC complaints!

I get phone calls from this number. When I pick up there is musicand no one says anything. weird.

Just got a call from that number. First had to listen to stupid weird music for about 30 sec. then some guy told me he was a licensed contractor in my area and could do remodeling work inside and outside my house. I told him I am on the "Do not call list" and I don't need any work done on my house.
He hung up without excusing himself, but just before that he went quiet and I heard some guys laughing hysterically in the background and swearing.
My husband tried to call back, it is a long distance call so we didn't pursue it in case it's a huge telephone scam... Beware of that pondscum...

Somone calling himself "Andrew Phillips", wanting to know if we wanted any kitchen or bathroom remodeling done.

Same as the rest of you report, a call with no one there on the other end. I let the answering machine pick up and they then hang up. They call several times a week.  Supposedly this number belongs to M Power Communications  which was formerly MGC Communications and run by someone named Rolla Huff based in Las Vegas.

Get calls from this number several times a week. When it goes to the answering machine they hang up. Anybody know who they are?
