It was NOT Acura but a third party misrepresenting that company. Good call rejecting them.

I got this call from a lady at Acura saying that my warranty will expire and wants to confirm my address and name. Then she transferred me to another lady. This lady wanted to sell me extended warranty. I said I do NOT need extended warranty and she hung up. This is a bogus call. Beware of this call.

I answered; a guy asked "Hello, may I speak with VMA [me]?" I said, "No, thank you", and I hung up.

Joshua: "None of your business" - click - hangs up phone
Can anyone locate the physical location of this place?

I also received a call from this number saying they were from Dodge. Told me they sent me several letters through the US Mai and this is the final offer ... Which they didn't. When I finally got the amount and told him that I wouldn't make a decisions on this without my wife he told me he could hold while I called her. Some nerve! Then he said do you have call your wife to by a tank of gas? I said actually we have a budget set so yes, and I also know what she spends. Don't fall for this

My husband was on my phone talking to AT&T when this number was on 'call waiting'. So glad I did not answer it. I mostly don't ever answer numbers I don't know. This is the numbr that popped up on my 'missed calls' list - 2062011184, also saying it's from Bainbridge Island, WA.

Extended auto warranty scam. Somehow they knew the year/make/model of a family members car.

Apparently they have reached the Vancouver area on their list. Strange call. They asked me about a car that I previously owned when I sounded confused (I don't normally answer calls from unknown numbers), she asked if it was good time for me, not knowing who it was I said it wasn't. She did not identify herself or what company she was calling from, I had to check out this site to find out, but seemed to have auto info for me. Lots of noise in the background like telemarketers.

What was the web site they gave you?

Received a call from this number stating that my Toyota extended service warrantee or some such thing was about to expire. This is not the case. I asked where they were calling from, and they said Toyota, which I'm sure is b***s***. I hung up.

I kept getting calls from this number. Typically I don't answer questions in the middle of the day, especially if this weird number leaves hangup messages but I was expecting a call from someone else.
So, after accidentally picking up this call (with a local area code) I get a lady on the line named Heidi. She seemed nice enough asked about my VW, she had the make and year ready to go and asked me to confirm the mileage. She talked about extending my warranty and I got passed around to a bunch of people to confirm this and that.
They said to extend my warranty that covered basically "everything except maintenance" I'd pay $556.20 for 5 years or $2481 in full. Of course I had to pay right then and there on the phone but I had 30 days to cancel if I felt they were sketchy or didn't like the deal. I told them I wasn't really sure and would rather have an invoice sent and pay that so I could verify who they were. I got transferred to someone else. He tried to say that they weren't trying to scam me or take away all my money and that in 200X the government stopped random phone scammers from having the ability to scam folks easily. 90% of people take advantage of the deal right away. Said I just didn't feel comfortable with that amount of money especially over a phone and asked to do my research and call them back. He said that if I called again my price would be different and I need to take advantage of the pricing now as 99% of the people that call back want to be in on this great deal. Said I guess I'll just have to suck it up, call them back and take the hit for higher prices. He sighed and said I was missing out and that I could look them up on their website.
I looked them up. They've got a weird site, have only been in business since 2011 and aren't apart of the BBB which makes me even more nervous so. I don't know what to think about them but watch out.

Same as the rest--a man called from the Honda "Auto Parts Department", saying something about an extended warrantee. He became verbally insulting the minute I started asking for clarity about the call, and then he hung up.
Scam.

I received a call a couple hours ago on my cell phone asking for my husband (by name). When i asked what it was about the guy said it was about the warranty on my husband's car - i asked him which car (since i thought maybe it was about mine) and he listed the correct year and make/model of my husband's car. I asked him if he wanted my husband's number and he said "no" and hung up. He sounded eager to get off the phone.
