We just received an e-mail from this Rebecca John asking for one of our products to be shipped to a Texas Address.  I decided to google this company name and these posts came up.  Thank you for posting to help others who might fall for this scam.  It is really unnerving that these people ask for specific goods and get you excited that you have a sale and don't want to believe it is a scam until it is too late.  Thanks to this page of posts, we did not run the credit card or ship the goods.

We just received an email from the new name and address as well. We collect IP addresses on all incoming messages from our website. Assuming the IP address is correct (which who really knows), it looks like the messages are coming from a location in Chicago, IL.

I received the same message and will play along and request a wire transfer for payment.  They seem to plug in the specific product pertaining to your business.  I believe they are Nigerian or at least African as my company has received a lot of these kinds of requests.  You can always tell by the "pls" as please.  :-)

No. How it works is they get the tracking info and will show up the day of delivery to pick up the package, typically the address is for an abandoned residence or business, or they know the person has been gone a long time, after they show up that day, they never show up again.

Here are the two emails that I've received from Rebbecca Casas. They seemed very suspicious from the start so I played email tag with "her" until she stopped responding after I kept requesting a faxed purchase order and to speak on the phone regarding pricing. The most recent address seems to be in the middle of a residential area according to Google.

Just spoke with Melanie Phelps. She is a 15 year employee of the moving company that this perp is using. Melenie assures me that they are onto this scam and have returned merchandise to vendors involved with these people.

If you are a real company, why is it not listed anywhere except on this site for know scammers?

Why are you providing credit card information that is not registered under your name and address?

For those that want to avoid being scammed, call Visa or MasterCard HQ and use their automated system. You can verify that the card is good or bad. If the card is good, you can contact the bank issuing the card and verify the name and address on the card. We did this today and avoided a $3000 loss from this scum bag. Neither card had the correct name or address and one of the two cards were inactive. Of course, the second card is now inactive as well since it has been reported.

Just got another e-mail this morning looking for a quote. It looks exactly like this one. Except that they cut and pasted the product from my site.

Anytime I see an e-mail sent at 2:39am I get suspicious because most buyers are sleeping and not at work that time of day. Also, gmail accounts scare me. Then, their wordinding is always the same. Who talks like that anyway?

I have called and spoken to several law enforcement agencies in the past about these scammers. Even though they present multiple credit cards to pay for the merchandise the cops/feds have their hands tied. One of us honest tax paying citizens actually has to get ripped off before they can act.

So, the moral of the story is read the tag line /dont get to excited and investigate the inquiry. I always start by plugging the contact info into google. In this case everything associated with this matter says scam.

If you get a valid address with no tags associated with it try doing a google streets search to see what type of building is located at the ship to address.

I always check to see if the address is a UPS Store also. (Made that mistake once)

Rebecca Casas  - Co is Melux Laboratory Inc. tried scamming us.  We just got taken for quit a bit of money from a similar co that was having shipments sent to WA and TX, so when we received this email, we looked up the IP address and googled name, company and phone number.  Nothing matches and cannot be found.  The only thing close was this websit.

Companies beware of similar people scamming.  They also use yahoo email addresses.
