206-268-6618 just hangs up after we answer.
Sounds noisy in the background.   Right afterwards we got a call on our other line from Community Services for the Blind.  Their # is 206-268-6625
and they are genuine.  Could they be related #s ?

usually only for used clothing pickup, never asked me for a monetary donation.

Community Service for the Blind is a genuine charitable organization, but (and I use the word 'but') they have questionable telemarketing procedures:

(me) Hello?
(CSB) May I speak to a Mrs. Anderson?
(me) There is no one here with that name...what number are you trying to reach?
(CSB) Well ma'am, I am calling for the community service for the blind on possible donations....

and this isn't the first time this was used to get donations.  I use to donate to them, but this tactic is not what I need to heard to get donations

Here's what we've learned:  Community Svcs for the Blind employs some who have difficulty handling the "autodialer" .  Their phone may connect to the next number before the operator is ready to handle the call and that can result in a hangup.   In general it's a quality charitable organization who solicits for usable goods that they can pickup for their resale.

Have tried to block the number but just get new calls on a new #.  Does anyone know who they are?

When I've answered, they've claimed to be doing surveys for King County, and start asking if I am an 18 yr or older adult of the household.  They do not ask for any specific names or persons, just over 18.  I've asked to be taken off list, but they still call.  Once I said I had no time for the call, they asked a better time to call back.  I've been unable to track down their exact identity.  They are not aggressive after calling, they just call often.

This call came in at dinner time and went into a phone hell designed to cope with political, sales, and other unwanted calls.  Don't know who they are but if they aren't calling on the cell they aren't getting to talk to the man!
