I have been receiving daily phone calls (often more than once a day) from 206-309-3538. I finally left a message and said I was interested. I got a call from a woman who told me she was with Haffar & Associates in San Diego, a law firm specializing in mortgage modification. I asked her to email me the information about her law firm which she did and here is her information:
Kerry DeWolfe
Junior Underwriter/Licensed Real Estate Professional
P: (858) 367-5143
F: (888) 600-3191.
Email: kdewolfe@haffarlaw.com
I then received a call at 5:07 pm from a Lisa Svelnys at 760-821-1516 about Haffar & Assoc. I was on an important call at the time and told her I couldn't talk.
The only way to stop these Robocalls is to file a complaint any time you get the calls.

I'm just getting tired seeing this number from my caller id.
This number has been calling my cell phone almost everyday!
Tom in Riverside 2011-06-06 20:42:03 Unknown
Again, how about the DNC list. Just Garbage.
Patricia Shorett 2011-06-06 20:42:03 Unknown
Keeps calling, never leaves message, I am on do not call list!
sharon 2011-06-06 20:42:03 Unknown
why hasn't this guy been stopped yet
i called back and left a message to not call me again isn't there a place to complain to that can get him shut down
drpepperdon 2011-06-06 20:42:03 Unknown
They called me too and I got them to call me back1
Of course I used a different name.
Its a company called YPR, a mortgage finance place.
I talked to some lady named Barbara.
I am searching for them and will post what I find later.

Call the number back and leave a bs voicemail. If everyone calls back and leaves a message, it will overload their voicemail and they will be unable to receive return calls that could earn them money.
I called back several times, put the phone on speaker so I could continue doing my work, and turned on the radio so I wouldn't get disconnected.

I don't pick up the phone unless I know who the caller is. Hope this number never shows up on my caller ID again.
Kip 2011-06-06 20:42:03 Unknown
I got call after call from this number. I think this guy should be dragged by a truck to a state where it is legal to break his arms. Is that legal?
BA Cox 2011-06-06 20:42:03 Unknown
I do not answer numbers that I do not know. I am tired of getting this type of calls. There is no company name and they do not leave a message. It just fills up my phone. I want it STOPPED, NOW!
Nan 2011-06-06 20:42:03 Unknown
This is annoying and I am charged each time they call!!!!

Same business -- cell phone robo-calls with no message. Thanks for the tip and reminder from Paulg: "Press 6 to get removed. Hope it works. DNC violation anyway."

How the HECK do I get off of these stupid lists??? I bought some stuff for my pets online the other day, and ever since I have been bombarded with calls from around five different numbers. This one calls every five minutes! I picked up and it was some junk about mortgage modification... who would be dumb enough to refinance their home because some robot called them, and how do these people get around the "no call" list?? Any advice? I am going nuts!

I have gotten 3 calls from this number today, starting at 10:53 AM PST. I blocked the number in my iPhone's iBlacklist application with a Busy signal. Hopefully that will put them off the trail.

I don't answer calls like this. If they want to talk to me ..."LEAVE A MESSAGE" or "LEAVE ME ALONE". How do you stop this crap? Who are these people?
victum 2010-07-20 20:45:26 Unknown
yes they are a scam.... do not give them your money, they are shady and dont do a thing they promise.... don't give them your hard earned money!
Anonymous 2010-04-27 21:54:22 Unknown
It would behove you to have your representatives speak a little slower and not make the person their speaking with feel like they are being scammed. Keep in mind it is realized that the salesperson is trying to get a person to complete your document process and move forward to the next step, it just that when someone is speaking really fast to me and I'm asking questions and not getting answers, it puts me off.
Possible New Client.... Still deciding....

these "DNC's" are typically not the fault of the company that is calling you. Any automated message that is replied to for the purposes of information, regardless of how volitile that industry is still perfectly legal. Most likley a marketing company generated that lead which was then puchased by the unsuspecting company that is going to facilitate the information/qualification/whatever process. We as homeowners not wanting to be bother are barking up the wrong tree when we yell at some representative that got a message asking to be called back. just thought you should know
